Ive been a rib connoisseur for 45+ years… It’s not easy to say but Dickeys were the worst I’ve had in a very long time! They were SO SALTY (I think way to much rub) they were awful, the worst, un edible ribs I’ve had! PLEASE read the reviews before going there!

Very disappointed in my ½lb. Of supposed to be sliced brisket. He gave me 3 slices and some burnt ends to make up the ½ lb. I didn't ask for burnt ends. He cut 1 thick and 2 really small pieces. It's usually good but this is dry and not good

By far the worst BBQ experience I've had. Brisket was dry and rushed, the most boring, mid mac and cheese and the worst offender was this pitiful serving of cornbread that smelled and tasted like an unwashed muffin pan and baked in a filthy oven. I'm an absolute trashcan of an eater but that was probably the first thing I've ever had to spit out.

We had brisket tacos and the smoked chicken Caesar salad. Both were adequate but nothing to write home about. We had a very nice server that made the experience more memorable. Wouldn’t go out of my way to go back!

Apparently the online coupons they spam to my inbox don't work at this location. Found this out after getting an order ready to checkout. Probably for the best because I would never pay the full price to eat here. The BBQ is not that great.

Walked in waited about 5 minutes before anyone greeted us. There was only one other table in the restaurant and they were already eating. We were told to pick a table and our waitress would be right over. The first two tables we tried to sit out were dirty. Against my better judgement we still chose to give the place a chance. The waitress was nice and respectful she got us our drinks and put in our appetizer order. When she brought the pretzel bites out they were extremely over cooked pretzel are supposed to be soft these were like pretzel chips you get from a grocery store. My husband and I ordered a rack of ribs a piece and two sides a piece. When she brought us our food it was so over cooked the ribs tasted like jerky they were so hard they could have broke your teeth. The macaroni had chucks of burnt macaroni in it from where it’s sat in a steam well too long way to high in heat.! All around the worst food I’ve ever attempted to eat in my life. When the waitress came over and asked if we needed anything I said the bill she said do you need boxes I said no (with barely any food ate off of our plate.) when being in customer service you should be able to read the situation and know that your customers are not happy. And normally I wouldn’t complain because I work in food service I am a chief, but who goes in and pays 100 dollars for two people to eat and you can’t even eat that food with fear of breaking your teeth. Needless to say I did complain a little bit and got half the bill taken off but still paid 50 dollars for food i wouldn’t feed my worst enemies dog.! NEGATIVE 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Stay far away from this place. They need to take pride in who they hire and what they serve because who ever the owner is needs to know your employees that were working do not care at all if your business succeeds.

Tried to place an online curbside order and obviously I was driving and couldn't enter my license plate number, so I called Newark Ohio location to place a carry out order was asked to wait on hold and all they did was lay the phone down, I can hear everything going on in the background, I was left on hold with no response for 21 mins before i decided to hang up. This is absolutely terrible service, the person answering the phone should be fired!!!!! I'm a paying customer too.

We are new to the area we decided to try this place after a long day. I ordered brisket, green beans The brisket was the worst I’ve ever seen or eaten. The meat was so full of fat I couldn’t even eat it. Had no Smokey flavor of any kind. I had to go to the bar to order carry out that was uncomfortable for just wanting to order carry out.
I will never eat here or recommend this place to anyone!!

Super nice people. Mac n Cheese is the best you'll find. Creamy not dry. Sweet BBQ sauce is fantastic. We ate at the bar so I can't really judge the atmosphere.

Terrible experience..got fries with my meal and when I opened the Heinz bottle it literally exploded and showered me and my mother in law with ketchup, all over my meal, the table, the window behind me and both our shirts. I don't know if the bottle was tampered with, but it was a huge mess. Waitress gives us a roll of paper towels, doesn't even offer to help clean (she only had one other table). While I was in the mens room cleaning up, the manager took my meal back, and when I returned all she did was replace the okra and fries, all 3 of the meats were cold, she just put my original meats back on the new tray. She gave us 3 pieces of pecan pie, but didn't offer to take anything off the bill. My wife and I left and my mother-in-law stayed back to pay the bill, and talked to our waitress about our ruined shirts, to which she replied, "Ma'am, we are NOT responsible for the ketchup!" and walked away. So, we get showered with ketchup and have to clean it up ourselves, get 2 shirts ruined, get treated rudely and get to pay full price for it all. The mens room was filthy, sinks were gross, no soap and just a partial roll of paper towels sitting on the sink. By my wife's account, the womens room was just as bad. Pathetic.
Update..I posted this review on 10/12..I also attempted to contact Dickey's Corporate Office the same day on their site..since then the only contact that's been made with me was what you see below, which was about a week later. It asks me to contact them directly, which I did, and STILL have not received a response from anyone at Dickey's. They love to pat themselves on the back when they get the occasional good review, but don't really care to address the bad ones in a timely manner. Based on how management has handled this, it's no wonder we were treated this way at the restaurant.
We’ve had barbecue from all over, we understand that when it comes to Ohio we don’t set our standards at the same expectations as many southern states. Although, this place is below subpar. The green beans taste as though they came out of a can from Gordon’s foods and they threw in bacon bits and lightly sautéed onions. The Mac and cheese taste the same as the tins from Gordon’s it was runny not smoked and did not have a baked cheese layer on top which is what is served at the restaurant . The brisket and pulled pork were both very dry. The buns that they were on were very good though. The price point and the quality do not match with what you are purchasing. Don’t waste your time or hopes of receiving something that will not satisfy your expectations or craving. I understand that some places are experiencing a pinch right now although cutting corners and providing store bought products as your own is not the answer.

I could not give this a negative star rating, but if that was an option, it is what I would do. We stopped in for a drink and a few apps and not any part of the experience was decent. We ordered pretzels bites and mozzarella sticks. There were 11 pretzel bites for around $8 and they served us salsa with the mozzarella sticks because they were out of marinara. The bartender was in the bathroom on her phone and we couldn’t get our bill. It was a terrible experience and we will never go back. My husband ended up leaving $40 cash on the table just so we could leave. I would go anywhere else but this establishment.

I never give reviews but this time I am - I have ordered the baked potato combo about 3 times. First time it was fantastic and I told everyone how great it was. After that, it has gone way down hill. The skin was so hard on our potatoes that we could barely eat it and tossed about half of it. The potatoes haven't even had everything on them that are suppose to come with it. The sides are even smaller than the small container that they come in. I would not recommend.
