I have been ordering dirkos since the 90s. The Stromboli and pizza are exactly the same now as they were then. Great tasting food and always friendly staff. The prices are reasonable for the portions.

I’m not sure what’s going on with all of the negative reviews, but I can’t say the same as others. I love this Dirko’s as well as every other location they serve-Johnstown and Mount Vernon. Service is always great-people are nice and quick to place my order and make it a simple process. My food has always been ready before the estimated time, and is still 100% fresh! Prices are insane for how good their food is. Large quantities for each thing you get-you genuinely get more than you pay for. The garlic bread and the Stromboli are my absolute favorite.

1st time ordering from Dirkos, I ordered 2 XL pizzas and wings for pick up. When I picked up my order I noticed the pizzas were pretty small. For 17 inch. When I talked to the guy taking orders, he laughed and said, "Oops, they put large instead of extra large...... it will be 45 minutes if you want us to remake them. The hype doesn't match up to the service ?. You can find better and local owned pizza around.

I've never tried dinning in so I'm not sure what the atmosphere is like but they get a 5 star for the kitchen sink pizza alone. We've been ordering from them off and on since they opened a location here in Newark and they've never disappointed us. Stromboli are amazing as well and usually what we get to go along with the kitchen sink.

Super greasy and it literally tastes like they just put a red baron pizza in the oven and decided to serve that. Could have went and got a frozen pizza and it would have tasted better.

The owner underpays the employees and just says “ tips “ are what get them through, it’s sad, the food there is nothing insane it’s normal pizza with workers who are not bad but have no motivation cuz of the poor pay I assume, should work on the ownership and how they treat there employees , and there exclusives are just a bunch of toppings thrown together in my opinion , ofc I know some Poole enjoy there food a lot so you try for yourself and see but I just don’t order from here because I don’t like it that much but would eat it if starving.
