Went in to dine. Place was empty. EMPTY! I asked questions before ordering to understand the menu fully because I want no surprises. So combos comes with one side biscuit and a drink but meals come with 2 sides biscuit and no drink. She said for the two Piece chicken I could get thigh and a leg or two breasts meal for $8.49 that would come with 2 sides and a biscuit. I said can I get a breast and a leg she said that would be an upcharge. So I was like but I can get 2 breasts and no upcharge? She said right! She punched it into the register to confirm yes. Okay that’s odd but let’s do two breast one regular and one crispy, Mac and cheese and green beans. So it now shows $8.49 and a mystery $1 charge. I said what’s the dollar charge for? She said it’s an automatic charge in the system. I said for what? It just charges. Okay that’s not what the menu says and that’s not legal. So I look over and see a sign on the restroom that says restrooms closed. Restroom was plural. I said both restrooms are closed? She said yes! Okay so I can’t use the restroom nor can I wash my hands and who knows how employees are as most places employees uses the same public stalls but why is dining open with no restrooms. No sure that’s allowed either. So I said cancel our order and we left. You all doing bogus upcharges. Most people don’t even pay attention anymore to what they are being charged but I DO and I even asked ahead of time. We will not be back. How many people you all scamming with these charges? $1 here $1 there adds up and I was raised that a penny adds up to dollar$ your menu online matches the menu I seen in store. I see nothing about an upcharge for sides or chicken. Also it says 2 piece chicken. It doesn’t say anything about what two pieces and a leg and breast is cheaper than 2 breasts but she said it’s only an upcharge If we get a breast and a leg not two breasts. I’d rather two breasts for same cost or cheaper than a leg. I mean I’m not ignorant to the better cut of meat LoL

Wasn't really happy this last time I was there! I live in Zanesville and drove across Newark just to go there and I asked if the livers were fresh. The girl at the window said she got the response of....... been awhile! I went there just for the chicken livers because nobody in Zanesville serves them! I told her no big deal I'll just get a two-piece chicken dinner. (Although not what I came for I can get two piece chicken at KFC). Anyway I went ahead and ordered that got it started to head home and evidently had been a while for that chicken too ? because it was barely warm definitely not something that they should have been serving! ?

Best chicken in the area with a couple locations. So you don't have to drive clear across town. Definitely a mainstay restaurant around here. I recommend the extra crispy chicken! Phenomenal green beans! The potato wedges are still great, but have seemed to have gotten less seasoning than they used to. .......not that lower sodium is bad, im just saying! You won't be disappointed. Affordable!
Parking: No parking issues. Drive thru is very narrow at the main st location. So a big truck? Nope.
Wheelchair accessibility: Both are very wheelchair accessible. Better than the big chains.

While visiting friends, all the way from Florida, I was told to get the chicken liver from Lee's. It was delicious ? 10 out of 10.
Went through the drive through ordered a number five, The chicken was cold and the fries were cold , but the biscuit was Warm..... Guess that's got account for something right.....
