I highly recommend Mariposa based on their service, drinks and atmosphere! Our server was BEYOND amazing and went overboard to accommodate our big party including a wild toddler! The atmosphere itself is beautiful and a very nice place to go for an evening out! The highlights for me as far as the menu go were the skinny margarita and the salsa that is served with their chip.ls. It's my favorite restaurant in Newark! The homemade salsa is amazing! Lots of great cocktail options too, and the price point is fair. I really hope the new owner keeps it on the same path. Such a nice gem along the square. They have a few 4 topper outdoor tables as well. The food is fresh and doesn't taste like a lot of Mexican chain restaurants that all have the same menu, but it's not so hipster you leave hungry.

This place was very good. Our food was very good and filling. Drinks were great, and not bad for the price, service was amazing, jenn was our server and she was very attentive. Definitely will be coming back!
