We stopped here for lunch while traveling, so we didn't know what to expect. It was a lucky choice. Food was good, portions plentiful, service quick and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. We did not order alcohol.
We went for lunch and ordered from the lunch menu. It was fairly busy. Everything looked clean. The music and decorations were as expected for a Mexican restaurant. The waitress quickly took our drink and food orders. The salsa was delicious. The cheese dip was delicious. I didn't think the chips were that good but weren't terrible. The food arrived pretty quickly. It was hot, delicious, and authentic too. The portions were big and the price was cheap. Highly recommend...
What a wonderful meal and experience! The staff were so friendly, quick, and attentive, which made everything even better. I really enjoyed the beef chimichanga—it was absolutely perfect. And of course, the chips and salsa were incredible as well. I definitely recommend Puerto Vallarta if you're craving delicious Mexican food while you're in Newark!
