A complete waste of what use to be a great place. We had never been being from Alabama. I was actually kind of looking forward to it after seeing the 50s style commercials. We showed up at 11am. 1 girl working the whole place. Tables and counters were nasty. Floor was nasty. The food was thrown together which is understandable with one person working. The buns on the burger were crumbling apart and soaked in grease. They were out of shake mix.. yes steak n shake out of shakes. It was honestly sad. Someone could revamp that place and make it a nice fun 50s style spot again for just a little time and effort. But it was no different than all other fast food places that hadn't been cleaned it months. I don't usually leave bad reviews but I hope maybe the owner may see enough of us and realize how kool a 50s style Americana fast food spot it could be. I realize now why 1 girl was working by herself because nobody goes there anymore from how it looked. It was horrible. Hopefully one day the owner will care enough or sell to someone who does to bring it back to the place you can tell it use to be by looking at pictures. Thanks.

The girl working the drive thru on 11/19/2025 at 1pm made my whole day. She was extremely nice and even complimented me. She took my order promptly and politely. My milkshake was very good! Thank you for being a ray of sunshine!

I ordered the garlic double combo, light garlic spread and light frisco sauce. Burger was hot and fresh with a perfect amount of sauce. Not messy, not dry. Fries were hot and fresh as well. Thank you!

First off, WHY not have a person take order?? This kiosk thing most definitely has cost them customers. The guy I was with would have walked out when he saw it if not for his kid really wanting the food. Didn't get drink tickets, the kiosk machine didn't work when it came to spitting them out. Didn't get the sauces ordered with our meals yet paid extra. And the ice didn't work. Do better Steak n Shake.

They no longer have waiters and use kiosk for in store dining. But the very limited staffing were very friendly, worked hard and asked many times if our food was ok. Loved the steak burgers, but the chili was not great. To be honest we almost left when we saw the kiosk was the only way to order. Oh by the way credit card only.

I am a Dasher who picks up food here all the time as well as eating here. The service is absolutely amazing. The food is amazing as well. Evan and Jen are so amazing their hospitality they greet everybody when they walk right through the door always have a smile on their faces, they run such a clean and well-maintained restaurant And the staff follow right behind them. I have never seen such a clean steak ‘n Shake nor have I seen one run with such high energy smiles on faces every time you walk in Jen is so easy to talk to. She always chats with you while working the grill or anything that she’s doing for that matter as well as Evan you guys totally rock people might complain. The service is somewhat slow, but at least you get fresh food that’s what they strive for And the quality of the food. Sometimes the quality and service is worth the weight.

Where to start? The kiosk was a bad experience. There was no receipt therefore no fountain drinks. I had to ask twice to get the receipt. I watched 2 elderly ladies leave due to the kiosk system. No one to help them. No they were not to busy to help. Food tasted good, loved the beef tallow fries.

Everyone was very nice and friendly. When we needed help someone helped us and was very nice and pleasant about it. Definitely would reccomned this place.
Hated ordering kiosk only. But food and shakes were as expected.. next thing ya know AI will do it all.

Rang up the order completely wrong and never confirmed what was ordered and we didn’t know until after we left. We got three completely different burgers then were ordered

When We arrived there was only one other couple in the restaurant and I believe only one car in the drive-through. We ordered our food through the kiosk and set down. It was 11:56 AM when we ordered we did not get our food till 12:24 pm!!! We only ordered A Western burger and a bacon cheeseburger and two fries. We did not order any kind of desserts. It was very frustrating to have to wait 30 minutes when they had no customers. When we did get our food, it was good but the onion rings were grease soaked and the Bacon cheeseburger had no bacon on it. When we went to ask for bacon for the baking cheeseburger, they gave us one small piece to put on it . Employees were friendly. The restaurant was clean.

Horrible service at this place. I ordered a Frisco melt combo with fries and what I got looked thrown together and sloppy and I got no fries but when I told somebody they acted like they didnt care and gave me 3 or 4 fries I also didn't get the applesauce ir chocolate milk for my nephew
