A memorable experience displaying a concerning lack of accountability and total absence of hospitality. While my interaction left much to be desired, it as well as my food was acceptable. The concerning part is the interaction, and following employee discussion, I witnessed with an elderly husband and wife in front of me. While waiting the elderly man, who had just sat down with his food, returned to the counter stating his sandwich was cold and kindly asked for a replacement. Instead of being met with any kind of apology he was met with the statement “Okay you’ll have to wait a minute”. The lack of decency caught my attention and I started paying more attention to the discourse happening between the staff. After the shorter dark haired lady who was working the sandwich assembly station tossed the paper bag containing the replacement sandwich onto the counter, without word, she returned to assembling the sandwiches. The man left and the lady, who has no name tag, continued making food. She Began complaining to her coworkers about the complaint of cold food. Speaking with zero accountability with a tone implying the customer was out of line. She apologized to the two men working the window station for the delay sarcastically stating the customers apparently unreasonable complaint about colds food. One of the men wearing glasses responded “ oh wow I would’ve told them to go use a microwave” I am leaving profanity out. The conversation continued for several minutes. During which I witnessed numerous food items being dropped on the floor, most of which I believe to have been thrown away. There was a statement made about how they wanted to “teach them a lesson” with a comment about how his hash brown was dropped on the floor as well. I want to be clear that I am not certain the dropped food was served to the customer. It definitely seemed to be the implication, however it could’ve been more so a statement about what they wanted to do. Either way having done it, or talking about the desire to retaliate on a customer for a reasonable complaint is more then unacceptable and warrants an investigation, or in my opinion an immediate termination. The attitude, discourse, and entitlement all as a response to a customer who politely stated the sandwich he paid for did not meet the expectations anyone would have was truly incredible. Not in a good way. On top of that the apparent arrogance to have this discussion in front of another customer standing 5’ away at the counter is astonishing. Staff results reflect leadership. I truly hope the woman making the food is not in a managerial position but if so I imagine this level of disrespect, retaliation and condescending attitude will only continue. Just hoping to encourage the staff and make them realize that, even if you don’t want to be there, if you are at work and on the clock You are acting within a contractual agreement. If the employer is paying you as part of their end of the agreement you should be holding up your end of the agreement. Operating within the Tim Horton standards and code of conduct. Aside from that have some resemblance of human decency and treat everyone with respect. The irony is comical seeing as though this woman seems to be the one who would raise hell if served cold food, or at the very least bring it to attention in a far less respective way then the elderly man did.
Tim Hortons management or ownership please feel free to reach out.
Thanks,
Chris

The worst customer service ever. When I arrived the crew was having a party in the back of the store ignoring a line that reached nearly out the door. You should better.

This is one of the fastest places in Newark to get good breakfast food. I like going here to get breakfast sandwiches, frappe, and boxes of Timbits.

How are you all still open? Never have the full menu available, food is sub par at best. None of the employees know what work is. An attitude and half a menu….. never again.

The food was good, but when I ordered it through the drive-through, my ice caps were all liquid barely any thing was frozen and also they forgot one of my hashbrowns. I went in to ask for it, and the woman at the counter, looked me up and down immediately started judging me with her eyes, thinking that I was trying to get her over on a dollar hash brown That they forgot.

They were out of so many different donuts that the kids wanted. This was on a Saturday morning. What we did get was very good, just wish they had more available.

Very slow. My paninni was terrible. It's supposed to be hot and crisp. It was limp and falling apart. Tasted terrible. The tim bits are just gross. They need jelly filled ones, coconut just better ones. The only thing that I liked was the ice cap supreme. Those are kinda hard to screw up. .most times.

Very disappointed in my experience. First time going to this place and decided to do an online order to get donuts for work and get myself a sandwich and coffee. Got to sit in the drive thru for 10 minutes then finally got to the window and was given my donuts and told to pull up ahead for the rest. So after waiting a older woman came out and handed me my coffee that was wrong anyways and when I went to tell her if my sandwich was coming too that I ordered she told me to go back to the drive thru with a nasty attitude. I was going to be late for work if I did so I had no other choice but to leave without it. Wouldn't go to this location again and have told my friends about this and have heard from some that it's the norm at this location. Very disappointed in my experience.

i ordered online and had it delivered to my house. they gave me the wrong order, completely. I called twice, no answer. finally went there and she told me they were out of the stuff to make my sandwich (100% understandable). she was very sweet on the headset and gave me clear instructions on how to refund that part. what upset me the most is when i went back to fix my order from the first time, they messed it up the second time as well. although that girl was very sweet, that service needs work.
