If I tell you that it was one of the only places that was available, that's not an exaggeration. It was 7:15. The service was impeccable. The food was above average for the place and the situation. The ambiance was rustic rural. If I'm ever in this area again, it will be an option that I Will consider.

My husband and I had an amazing dinner Saturday night. I had the ribs, which were out of this world, and my husband had an amazing burger! So thankful to have this gem in downtown Newcomerstown, and can't wait to get back!

It is a neighborhood establishment in a rural village of 3600 fine, everyday folks. You will not find 'fancy people, dignitaries or pop culture icons' here. So, my experience, thoughts and ratings are offered with that in mind. My wife and I were here once before, Saturday evening, both times. They have limited hours/days that they are open. They have the usual menu of a bar/family type establishment. We had the haddock special that they offered. It was perfect. A side salad and home cut fries were the sides. Nice portions served by the bar maid/waitress who was friendly and attentive. She was also taking care of all the other patrons, about 20 people, both couples and families, efficiently with a smile. Prices were fair, and the atmosphere low key, typical of a bar without the blaring juke box. We will definitely return.

One of our favorite restaurants. Excellent food, service and the desserts are amazing!! In Florida until probably June and will truly miss this place.

I love this place. First the food is of excellent quality and you get good portions. I ordered medium rare sirloin and it was cooked to perfection. Second, the service is excellent even though there's only one server. She really hustles to get everyone served. Third, the atmosphere is one of the best you will find with old pictures of the town and tribute pictures of Cy Young. I eat here every time I visit New Philadelphia. Recently this restaurant was for sale and I am so glad (so is the town of Newcomerstown) that they are still open. What a hidden gem. Forget the chain restaurants...eat here!!!

Service super attentive considering she was the only waitress. Place was packed. The food was delicious. Large portions. Great prices. Didn't have a long wait for service or food. Large selection on the menu and Great prices on their specials. I had chopped steak, which was so tender plus mashed potatoes. My husband had open roast beef which he said melted in his mouth, mashed potatoes and green beans. Then strawberry cheesecake.
