Always great wine...
Love this place! The wine is delicious and it's fun to shop the locally made craft items!
Saturdays destination! ♥️
Beautiful day for a backroads drive to Newcomerstown. This place is now my absolute favorite winery. Met two new friends, Deb and Vickie. (Thanks for asking me to join you!) Chris, I think the owner, and her sister Mary were the sweetest ladies ever! Thank you for your generosity! 🤗
I will most definitely be going back!
A very lovely winery set in the Ohio country side. The wines are made with an apple base so they tend on the sweeter side, but there are still some dry and semi dry options. During the warmer seasons you get a great view of the animals and countryside.
YBW is a great little place to enjoy a glass of wine and take in the eastern Ohio countryside!
Their selection of wines offers a good variety to please most any palate. Critters in the barnyard for viewing and live music on Saturdays! We enjoyed our escape here and would definitely return!
My fiancé and I hosted a wedding shower here and it went perfect thanks to the owner Christy and staff members Patty & Becky. They were selfless and very flexible with accommodations. I can not recommend this establishment enough. Whether you are hosting an event or need a spot to chill, this is the place.
P.S The wine and wine slushies were delicious.
5 stars — A Hidden Gem with Scenic Charm and Warm Hospitality
What an absolute treasure tucked away in the rolling hills of Ohio! From the moment you drive up to the iconic yellow barn, you know you’ve found somewhere special. The scenery is stunning—vineyards, open skies, and even alpacas grazing nearby. I brought my drone and captured some beautiful aerial photos of the barn, patio, and vineyard layout—this place is a dream to photograph.
Inside, the rustic charm continues with a welcoming vibe and friendly staff who are passionate about the wine and the experience. The wine list offers something for everyone, from fruit-forward sweet wines to bolder dry reds. I personally enjoyed the Blackberry Merlot and their Peach Chardonnay—both full of flavor and perfect for sipping outdoors.
Their food menu is small but thoughtfully crafted. I loved the charcuterie board, and their BBQ sandwiches hit the spot. If you visit on a weekend, check the events schedule—live music fills the air and adds even more life to the setting. Families, couples, and friend groups were all enjoying themselves while I was there.
They’ve truly created a space where time slows down. Whether you’re here for a casual tasting, an event, or just a peaceful countryside drive, Yellow Butterfly Winery delivers. I’ll definitely be back—and next time, I might bring a picnic blanket and stay a little longer.
The greatest sommelier in the heartland
What a special place! A big yellow barn in the middle of the country....and alpacas!! We were greeted by our lovely host, Betsy & decided on some one ounce pour flights(which was good considering we were doing a full day wine tour)....I loved the details of the interior decor, the thoughtful way the owner set things up for Valentine's Day...it was lovely. We sat down with our flights & just took it all in....breathtaking, even in the winter! You definitely need to leave with a bottle of the Apple Delight(tastes like apple bourbon but very smooth)
Been to this winery in past, it was ok. Recently new owners took over & they have done a fantastic job. The staff was super friendly & quick. The setting is beautiful with rolling hills & a small lake. The entertainment was top notch & at a volume level enjoyable enough to hear the music but still have a conversation with friends. Ample wine selection from sweet dessert wines/slushy to a dry red Cab. Great place to enjoy time with friends & family!

This winery is unbelievably beautiful. The people that own and operate this establishment are the finest folks I have ever met! The wines were wonderful. The entertainment was top notch. There was a food truck on site that was terrific. This was 100% worth the trip and I am looking forward to going again!
The wine we sampled was terrible. Out of about 8 different selections, only one was close to being good. We were a party of 8. Won't go back.
Beautiful restored winery with a great selection of wines for sampling, by the glass, or bottle. Friendly staff. Peaceful with indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely a hidden gem.
In my opinion, this place is a must go to.the property is maticlisis .the wine selection is ample, the food from the cantina is Wow incredible. The scenery alone is worth a visit.what they had to accomplish to make the barn as beautiful as it is .is pure magic..
Make sure you stop here, once you do you'll go back.
The owner stopped by ,and stopped and thanked everyone .beyond nice gentleman, thanks mike...
