Had Five guys as take out about 5 years ago in another state, was underwhelmed. However, my pregnant wife had a random craving for it so I went for only the 3rd time in a decade. Wow, the flavor of the meat, toppings and abundance of fries and peanuts blew my mind. I might have found my new go to burger place.

I have always heard about Five Guys, but never tried it. Well, yesterday Nic The Fat Electrican posted a video about Five Guys on his Fat Files YouTube Channel. A restaurant getting a dedicated twenty one minute dialogue from Nic was all I needed to convince myself to try it. So today try it we did, and it exceeded my elevated expectations. Burgers were absolutely delicious and we could have ordered two fries instead of four and still had enough to bring home. The restaurant was clean from top to bottom, easily the cleanest dine I have ever experienced. My wife said that it didn't feel very cozy, so I guess 3 star for atmosphere but to me that doesn't matter. It is expensive so we won't go there often, however the food is worth the price tag because you can definitely taste the difference.

Went there today. They changed their fries to steak fries which are even more greasy and not crispy. Bacon used to be so good.Well they changed that too. Inedible. Gross. Had to pick it off my sandwhich. Also the toppings seemed not to taste the same. Like they changed them too. Classic shrinkflation and cheaper ingredients. Won’t be back.
