Went through the drive through at 7:30 on a Monday. There was no other car in line. I ordered a hotdog with mustard, ketchup and onion and a small order of regular tater tots. By the time I pulled around, they were handing me my food. That would have been great but the food was stone cold. Next time I will sit at the pick up window and check the food before I leave.

Very disappointed. From my vantage point there were only two people working, my wife's burger order was screwed up, my hot dogs were burned from being on the heater too long, and my shake was mostly whipped cream. Won't go back to this location.

The slowest “fast food” restaurant on earth been took 25 minutes for them to take my order in the drive thru. Still here after 40 minutes and haven’t received my food.

Slowest place I've ever been
Ordered a footlong coney combo, a chicken tender combo and cheese poppers, waited 45 min ,got our order , had a cold burger in it instead of tenders and no poppers because they were out and they didn't even tell me, just let me pay for something I didn't get.

My sister and I wanted to try sonic for the first time so we went and waited in the drive thru at the intercom for at least 10 minutes, probably more, before someone finally took our order. Once we got up to the window the lady was so rude. She gave us our food and we noticed the sauces we paid for were not in the bag. We sat there waiting for her to come back and she proceeded to walk around, after looking at us multiple times, and not come back for 5 minutes. We told her we needed our sauce and she proceeded to roll her eyes and grab 2/4 sauces that we paid for. At that point we just left instead of asking for the rest of our sauce cause we felt so uncomfortable. We then start to eat our food and my sisters chicken sandwich was so rubbery she couldn’t eat it and the fries were cold and soggy like they were just soaked in grease. I then reached out after this experience because I spent at least $20 and we couldn’t even eat our food. I was told someone would get back to me. 1 month later and I still havent heard anything, so I reached out again and was told it hadn’t been reviewed yet. Now we are at least 2 months out and I still have not received any update. I will not be going back to sonic since clearly this is how they handle issues with their food and employees.

I do not know how this place went downhill so quickly! It’s so sad! The food is low quality, the deals aren’t deals and the service is slow. I feel bad for the people that work there because it seems they are doing the best they can do. I see these commercials where it is raining pickles and I think “if they can afford to make raining pickle commercials, why can’t they afford to put chicken in their “premium chicken nuggets” (they are completely just breading). We stopped the other day to grab a drink and a cup of ice (best Ice anywhere). When we got home my son took a drink of his sprite and it was complete soda water. I was so frustrated that now we can’t even get drinks there? We communicated it to customer service and have yet to hear back for a refund. Very disappointing.

Sonic on Maple and Market North Canton is advertised as a fast food restaurant. 😝
See pic below for a real-time example of what waiting in the drive thru (im a delivery driver) is like.

The other pic below it is AI 🤖 telling me to report the problem to corporate.
I did report the problem. It is on Google maps. AI can not relay the message??
I am not going to report it twice!!
That would be ridiculous! 🤪

The prices are outrageous a family could never afford a meal there! We went there and spent $40.00 and the food sucks so does the service! You wait 20 to 30 minutes the fries are store bought and the slushies are over priced and you have to have to ask for more condiments again therefore making your meal cold ! Go to the gas station up on the corner they tons of hot food and good slushie for $1.00. Sonic sucks waste of money! Tell your friends!!!!!

We ate lunch there yesterday and the food was not done. The burger was still pink and the onion rings so mushy you could not eat them. So disappointing.

I hate being this person—I really do. But I just need to understand: why is the service always so incredibly slow at this location?
Is it a staffing issue? Is there a lack of training? I live right across the street, so it should be super convenient for me to swing by after my kids' games or on a busy night. But after multiple disappointing experiences, I now actively avoid this Sonic.
When my kids beg for it, I literally drive to the Sonic in Jackson instead—because I know I can get there, place my order, and make it all the way back home before I even get acknowledged in the drive-thru here. That’s not an exaggeration.
One time, my 10-year-old and I were out on a bike ride. We stopped to order from one of the patio stalls, pressed the button, and someone responded, “We’ll be with you in a minute.” Then… nothing. For 30 minutes. When they finally came back, we ordered, waited another 30+ minutes, and the food was cold. The same thing has happened when I’ve tried to order from my car. You press the button, they ask you to hold, then don’t return for 15–20 minutes, and when the food finally arrives—again, cold.
Just now, I went through the drive-thru. They asked me to wait a minute. I sat there for thirty minutes. When I finally asked if I could place my order, they said, “Oh yeah, go ahead.”
What is going on?
I’m not trying to get anyone in trouble. I’m just genuinely baffled. If someone in management or leadership sees this, please—whatever the issue is, help your team. This is clearly not a one-off problem. And it’s a shame, because the location should be a go-to for families in the area.
