My porkchop was exceptional. It was 16 Oz, bone I, very tender and tasty. The best I've ever had and I get a lot of chops. The rigatoni and brocoli were also good. I decided to get Wedding Soup too and I'm glad I did because it was delicious. My wife got cheese ravioli and loved it.Our server was outstanding. We had a large group (10), but she was spot on with accuracy, timeliness, follow-ups and finally checks at the end of the night.Tha atmosphere was nice. I like a change from franchise style rooms so Sylester's had a nice "homey" atmosphere.

Food was great, but so loud, you couldn't even hear who you are sitting with.

Every time we come to town we have to go to Sylvesters. Love their bread and always get the escarole and sausage appetizers. The walleye and scrod are always favorites as are the pork chop and picatta! White French dressing is the best. Servers know their food!

Asked for a printed bourbon list and was informed they do not have one. Ordered Weller Antique 107, which the server said they had available, and got charged $35 for a skimpy pour. Did not expect anything above $16, but at $20 I would not have complained. Inquired about the ridiculous price and got a $10 refund based on a mistake. They supposedly charged me incorrectly. Even at $25 it's a major rip off. My very last dinner at Sylvester's. I can't, in good conscience, patronize a restaurant that blatantly and excessively overcharges customers. If that's how they plan to mark up bourbon, then provide a list with prices.

I made reservations for 4 :30 me and my 2 other friends and I were told by the hostess that we had to be done by 6:00. I do not know why we were not seated at another table in another room if they needed the room we were in for a private party.

We were pleasantly surprised. All around servise was excellent and they were extremely busy. My husband was so excited to be able to get oysters. We got the charcuterie board, and it was really good. My husband got the tortellini and loved it. The arrabiata sauce was very flavorful. I got a chicken dish that had a roasted red pepper cream sauce. I do not recall the name. It was subpar. The chicken was tough, and it lacked some flavor but was still good enough to eat. I don't feel that in any way reflects the restaurant as a whole. Everything else was amazing. Our servers name was Laura. We will definitely be back. It's very nice to have somewhere to go for good food that's local.
