Had dinner here on a Sunday and it was not crowded at all so we were seated and attended to right away. Server was courteous and helpful. The food came out in a very reasonable time and the kids were happy with their kids meals and some of the appetizers on the sampler. My wife and I got the lamb Vindaloo cooked spicy and the achari lamb cooked extra spicy and WOW, they did not disappoint! Both were very flavorful and quite spicy, but not overwhelming. I'm always disappointed when I go to an Indian restaurant and order a dish extra spicy and it's not very spicy. The spice levels here was absolutely on point. Also, although the gulab jamun on the menu were supposed to be 3 for $6, the waiter kindly gave us 4 for the same price for our party of 4 with us asking. Highly recommend coming here!

We’ve visited The Saffron Patch in North Olmsted, OH many times—sometimes as a small group of 3 or 4, and other times with a large group of 25 for special occasions. Our most recent experience was a catered birthday dinner with family and friends, and it was truly exceptional.

Zarna, our event coordinator, ensured everything ran smoothly. The private party room was beautifully set up, and the restaurant was very accommodating with our requests for both Vegetarian and Jain Vegetarian options to meet the needs of our diverse group.

The ambiance is always warm and welcoming, and the staff is consistently friendly and courteous. The food, especially their Paneer dishes, was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations.

Whether you're stopping in for a casual meal or planning a large gathering, Saffron Patch is hands down one of the best choices for Indian cuisine in the area

Excellent restaurant, food was great. Very authentic I felt like I was eating in India from the waiters to the Indian pop music videos in the background and even no soap in the bathrooms they really went all out with the experience I will be back 👍

My brother and I went on Sunday to this restaurant and it was amazing. The staff was so kind and helpful. It was my first time having Indian food and they made suggestions for me and were patient as I learned and asked about the dishes. The food was amazing! Everything tasted so good it was a great experience. I can't recommend going here enough.

While visiting Ohio, I came across Saffron Patch West, an Indian restaurant in North Olmsted. Since I love Indian food, I was excited to give it a try.

Right from the start, the experience was pleasant. The manager, Zarna, was very kind and welcoming. She even recommended her personal favorite, which was the Samosa Chaat. I’m really glad we tried it — it was delicious! The flavors were well-balanced, the texture was just right, and it was a great appetizer to begin with.

After that, we ordered a few different types of naan. Unfortunately, they didn’t have Rumali Roti available at the time, which was disappointing because I was really looking forward to trying it.

We also ordered a paneer sabji (cottage cheese curry). Like many Indian restaurants, it had a basic tomato-based gravy, nothing new or unique about the flavor. However, the paneer itself was very fresh and soft, which stood out. It was great to have such good-quality paneer.

Along with that, we got dal makhani and rice. Again, the dal was quite standard — the same kind you get at most Indian restaurants in the U.S. It wasn’t bad, just not something memorable.

Toward the end of our meal, Zarna kindly brought us house-made shrikhand to try. It was excellent — very fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. You could tell it was homemade, and I appreciated the gesture.

The overall experience at the restaurant was nice. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. However, I do feel that the cleanliness could have been better, especially in the restrooms. They weren’t well maintained, and I even had to ask someone to clean them, which was not ideal.

In summary, I would say the food was a mix of standard and standout items. The Samosa Chaat and the shrikhand were the highlights of our visit. If you visit, I definitely recommend trying those. With a bit more attention to cleanliness, this place could easily offer a much better overall experience.

I ate here 2 weeks ago while visiting family, and the food was AMAZING. I enjoyed the chicken vindaloo at the recommendation of the waiter. And it was so good, I went back the next night to pick up chicken tikka masala to go!
I would definitely recommend the place as it's open & airy, the waitstaff are very attentive, and the food is terrific!

My family and I have a new favorite restaurant!! The food is delicious and the service matched. Our first visit we sat in and were very pleased, so much that we ordered takeout a couple weeks after. We had the chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and chicken vindaloo along with garlic naan. We found out they have a buffet and are looking forward to coming back to explore other dishes.

In years past we've always thoroughly enjoyed the Shaker Heights location. We had our order delivered. It was... ok. We ordered butter naan which was good and a side of rice which was also very good. My wife had the Aloo Gobi, which the thought was pretty dry and lacking flavor. I had the full order of Tandoori Chicken. Taste was good, I ordered the spiciest option and it lacked the zing that I love. The lack of onions & peppers was disappointing as well, especially for the price paid.
I'd try it again, hoping for better results.
