Came for the Sunday brunch, and I am exceptionally disappointed. Some of the items had just the the laziest cooking I'd ever seen. The scrambled eggs were clearly just steamed into a block in a hotel pan and roughly broken up into unappealing chunks. The brussel sprouts were untrimmed. The sausage gravy was almost certainly from a can. Lazy and poor quality frozen products all around, like the fried perch, the meatballs, seemingly the biscuits, and that's just the stuff I had. I suspect that even the fried eggs were simply frozen egg pucks usually reserved for cheap breakfast sandwiches. Absolutely shameful.

Also disappointing was that it was only brunch in the most literal sense, having both breakfast and lunch items, but lacked any of the kind of quintessentially brunch items like smoked salmon or quiche, or really anything to differentiate it from just being a truncated lunch buffet alongside a cheap hotel breakfast. What a joke and a ripoff.

I would give it only one star if it weren't for the friendly front of house staff and the general cleanliness.

I do not live close to The Buffet. I looked online to see if there was any age restriction before we left and it said there was no restrictions. We get there and I was told my 17yr old son could not go in.

We went on Friday & Sunday to use our FREE vouchers that MGM decided to give as a way to get people to try their buffet. If you have gone past it since they reopened after the Pandemic, you probably noticed it was pretty empty. The cost of the meals did not match the quality of the food. Anyway, they have improved the food & the servers were excellent. We wil be back for the brunch (which is $30). Even the crumbiest buffets are more than that. But I was annoyed at the many CHEAPSKATES that left little or no tip. Shame on you. It is not the fault of the servers if you lost at the slots.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The service was impeccable—attentive, professional, and friendly. The staff truly cares about their customers, making sure every detail is taken care of. The cleanliness of the place was also remarkable, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Without a doubt, I will be coming back! Highly recommended!

Was pleasantly surprised going here on a Sunday afternoon with my wife. She suggested we go here for food, and I was blown away by how much food there was here. The variety was great ( that salmon was to die for) , service was great, and the atmosphere was nice. We’re definitely going to be coming back. 30$ for each person on a Sunday isn’t bad at all. I definitely got my moneys worth! Highly recommend this place!

My first visit to the buffet. Came for Sunday brunch. Nice selection. I tried an assortment of salad, breakfast and dinner items. I tried some things that I usually avoid at buffets like link sausage and fried fish. Everything was good. I really liked the broccoli delight salad and the bolognese pasta sauce and meatballs. The service was good and the manager even stopped by to ask how my meal was. I did not try the desserts but they looked great. I’ll come again.

MGM Northfield has a mafia approach to customer service and care. Listen to this! Walking in, I found $1000 in cash laying on the sidewalk. There was no one around. I told security that I would be playing at the casino and was looking for someone to claim the cash. I would be devastated if I lost that amount of cash. They wanted me to give them the money, insisting that I do so....I declined.... I wanted to give it to the owner. I was forthcoming and provided my identification when requested.... I wasn't trying to hide anything.. only to return the funds to the owner They called the police, who proceeded to handcuff me, a 65 year old woman who was trying to do the right thing! The event got me sick so that I was sweating and desperately needed to use the restroom. The police officer would not let me go to the restroom even though I was bending over with cramps. He threatened to throw me on the floor if I got off the chair again even though I was clearly in pain. The police officer asked several times if I had a mental health problem. I guess honesty is now considered a mental health problem!? I don't expect that the owner of this lost cash will ever receive their funds back. I eventually gave it to the officer, at which time the handcuffs were removed and the police officers disappeared. I received no receipt for the funds taken nor was there any discussion about an incident report describing the funds that were found. Horrible experience from someone who was trying to be forthcoming and return the money to the owner. I will never go to an MGM facility again and I will advocate to others to do the same. I don't fool myself into thinking that MGM cares one iota about this statement. But maybe a few citizens will consider that their rights and safety are at risk at this site.
