The Freight House is a very old railroad building. When the ticket office and train station burned, the freight house was used for passengers buying tickets. In the 1970's it was turned into a restaurant. Much of the old interior was kept, including the wood ceiling. Food is excellent. Wings are big, white mac and cheese was thick and good. The jalapeños on the burger had a kick to them and the Cole slaw was different, but delicious.
When my wife and I go on a road trip we always try to find a non-chain local restaurant for dinner. My better half is a GM and part owner of a local restaurant.

Let me just say, this place nails it from start to finish. Our server, Amin, was attentive and offered suggestions, and our drinks never went empty. The place smelled like quality American grub when we walked it. Barbecue, pizza, spices…I was hungry when we walked in and got hungrier when I smelled...
All around this is a great place to grab a bite to eat. Service was very prompt, food came very fast. We stopped after a day at Cedar Point. We’re from Cincinnati and this is the best food I’ve had in awhile. Stop by and give it a try.
