We have been coming to this location (our home location) as well as those in other states while on vacation, for over two decades. That’s over 20 years to be exact. So we clearly are familiar with the food and can notice any changes immediately. We took a nearly year long hiatus when they removed the best cheesecake in the world from
The menu permanently. Mind you as a cheesecake connoisseur it was one of the best ricotta cheese based cheesecake in the world. We decided to stop holding that decision against them and returned for our favorite dish at Buca, the Baked Rigatoni. We had just finished a stressful and exhausting event and was simply famished. When the platter came it did initially look a bit different but we proceeded to dig in. A bite in we knew something was way off. The texture of the sauce and taste was different and came off like they poured a can of tomato paste all over it. The sausage seemed extra chewy and the ricotta was not the same quality, there was a clear distinction from the quality of the past ricotta. We shared this with the waitress and she immediately validated our feedback by explaining there has been many changes around a year ago to include the quality of the food, advising a lot of the food and sauces are no longer made in house but come from a can. She then brought out the manager and he also was quick to validate our feelings explaining that corporate decided that buca was not known for homemade food but rather the ambiance. So they decided to can the homemade quality. Wow Wow Wow Wow Wow. If anyone is listening at corporate, BAD BAD MOVE. So you raise your prices and lower your quality. We won’t be back.

Always an excellent experience at Buca!
My wife and I adore this restaurant, we made reservations for Valentine's night and we were extremely pleased! We come here often, but this was the first time in years that we had the chance to get out by ourselves (no children tonight). The staff at Buca actually recognized us, and that we did not have our kids, lol!
Our waitress this evening again was Alexis, who was happy to see us again and her service was perfect as always, plus we got to chat with the floor manager, again, who is an absolute gentleman and also remembered my wife and I from previous visits. We can never say enough good things about the staff, even the cooks bus the tables when necessary and they're always courteous.
The food was exquisite, we got the Valentine's bundle which came with the heart shaped lasagna.

amazing place, the workers were very polite, very quiet and peaceful with some nice music in the background to match the Italian culture. Food was great best Italian food you’ll get in Cincy. Made a reservation waited maybe 10 minutes and it was a holiday. So overall great experience I do recommend.

We ordered the shrimp linguine. It was definitely not as advertised. We were expecting little shrimps (so everyone could have a spoonful or so) but it came it had seven jumbo shrimp (which were really good) but we were sharing so everyone got 2 shrimp... However the atmosphere was great. We had a big party and we had our own space and could hear each other. speak.

Ugh. Ordered a family size of the chicken parmesan ($50) which has been a family favorite. This order is not at all what we’ve had in the past. We’ve ordered this same dish at least 10 times. The chicken tastes like a frozen cutlet and it was so thin and dry. The breading is different. I knew it as soon as we opened the foil container. It didn’t look that rich gold/orange color. It is tan and looks like something out of a box from the grocery. The sauce was not generous and even it tastes a bit different. So disappointing. Sadly, it’s off our take out list.

I can’t say enough about this restaurant. Our waiter Nick was AWESOME! As a first-time diner and self-proclaimed food snob, this was 10/10, tender lasagna noodles, delicious sauce, PORTIONS ARE HUGE, delightful Caesar salad, garlic bread was cook perfectly. The atmosphere, pictures, staff, overall, just a wonderful experience.
