Gibbs Butcher and Brews

We had a great dinner on a busy night. Highly recommend for date night or family outing.

Having been a loyal supporter and regular at Gibbs both restaurant and butcher shop, I left extremely disappointed after my latest meal at the restaurant. I made a reservation at the beginning of the week for 2, and we were seated between the restroom and kitchen/basement stairs where constant traffic was bothersome. It was extremely disappointing to see that some of the gluten free options are no longer offered, which was half the draw for those in my party with a dietary requirement for gluten free foods. The most disappointing aspect was the steak which I had been looking forward to all week was served raw, maybe blue rare at best. I am not one to complain about my food and definitely avoid whenever possible sending a meal back to the kitchen, but I did not really have a choice, as it was still cold in the middle. When my steak returned, it was still incredibly rare and now tough and inedible. My wife having already finished her meal, and our service being slow, I did not want to send my meal back a second time and wait around any longer. We paid our bill and left disappointed, not even being offered an apology or being told thank you, and not offered a discount or comp on one of the appetizers or drinks, or anything else. (No, I am absolutely not someone who is looking for something for free. I just wanted to take my wife on a nice date and enjoy a good meal.) The kicker was I was sick to my stomach from the few bites I ate the rest of the night. I used to really love this restaurant, but I’m definitely going to remember this experience next time I choose where to spend my money.

November 8, party of two, arrived at 4:45, sat for a long time, zero service, had to get up and walk out. What a waste of time.

Parking: 2 big parking lots behind the building next to a beautiful park. 1 large parking lot across the street. 1 1920s, speakeasy, and banquet room, upstairs. Live music, an outdoor bar, and a seating area for live music events. My chicken Sammy was as big as my head. It had a 1/4 of the most amazing bacon. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They don't have a freezer, because everything is FRESH!! LIKE WE DONT HAVE A FREEZER FRESH. Yep

We've always had great experiences here. The meals are great and service has always been good

Parking: Parking is tricky if you or your companions have walking limitation. There are stairs up to restaurant and parking is limited near restaurant so you will need to drop a person off if they have limitations

Best steaks around!! Service is hit or miss in my experience. Atmosphere is good, casual though it can get quite loud when fully packed.

Parking: Only 2 handicap spots which were closed off for outdoors seating the last 2 times I went. All other parking is across the street or around the block.

Went with friends for dinner on a Friday night around 5pm and the dining area was already packed so we opted to eat on the front patio as it was a nice evening. The food was good with appetizers of the bayou popcorn, cheese curds and the bacon flight. All were very good. I had a corned beef Reuben with the cut potatoes and they were good as well. Service was fine. Only complaint is that the patio bricks are very uneven and really should be redone. Another customer stumbled on one but thankfully was able to keep from falling. And the chairs are really too low for the tables. Otherwise, no complaints and I would go again.

The only reason why I gave one less star is because it was super loud and super busy we had to level up our conversation voices. The place is nice, clean and comfy woodsy cowboy western themed little restaurant but the food is reasonable priced and very very very good. The bacon appetizer is a must and the French onion soup is great! Pork rinds are cooked to order and their portions are very very very good. O don’t know who our server and our lady at the front that lead us to our table were, but they are very nice and well attentive, all the customers that walked in we see since weee sat closest to the door but the front lady never missed a beat and perfectly executed her professional seating arrangements to tables, it was impressive. Our server is as good and professional the. Don’t forget to order the dessert. If the front lady was the owner, I wouldn’t doubt it, if not, the owner did a great job having her part of her crew. Our. Server is great too.

Steak was very good, a little under seasoned. Service was fantastic. The only beef I have is the GD country music. One day Id like to get a good steak and not have to endure all the whiney hee haw hollerin that is country music. 9/10 highly recommend.
