Had a great experience! I came with a group of 20 but the food came out nearly immediately or at least I credibly quickly. The waiters were incredibly attentive and came by to ask us how our food was and to refill our waters many times. The food was delicious, it looked delicious, and the portions were very good. There is a good variety for everyone and there are vegetarian friendly options. The restaurant has a very luxurious atmosphere but their prices aren't even that steep. They have private rooms that can seat around 10-ish each and are good places for groups to be seated as they are enclosed. My group of twenty split into two rooms but the wall between them was opened so we could freely talk and walk between them too. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience with my friends and the waiters were very amiable.

Food was very mediocre for the pricing. Even though the flavor wasn’t bad, it wasn’t very good. What really made me question the authenticity of this restaurant was the French fries on the grilled fish (烤鱼).
If this was in China, this will earn you life imprisonment for topping grilled fish with French fries 🙃🙃🙃(photo attached for proof).
Service was great and interior was clean and very well designed, but I won’t be back.

We’ve been coming to, and enjoying, Lao Sze Chuan since they opened in Pinecrest. It’s easily the best Chinese food in Cleveland. Even though we’ve never had a bad meal here, our meal tonight was absolutely fabulous, and felt I had to leave a review to share for anyone unfamiliar.
We started with perfect cocktails that arrived quickly. Our appetizer of duck wings was fresh and flavorful. The full sea bass and tofu entrees hit the spot.
Our waiter Josh was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Lao Sze Chuan Cleveland is a gem, and anyone looking for a great night out and authentic Chinese food should absolutely give them a try.
