I'm review reader and leaver. The girls and I came here last night. It was 6 of us. When I walked in I was pleasantly greeted at the door. The restaurant is beautiful. Atmosphere beautiful. Drinks and food were amazing even service was amazing but where it went down hill for me was at the end. Now mind you we had never been here before, we don't know the custom or how things are done. So our waiter comes to our table with a tablet and says you'll pay this way. He does not give us a receipt. He verbally confirms what we had and turns the tablet to you with the TOTAL only along with the suggested tip and you pay right then and there and then you choose if you want a receipt printed or not. What did each of us do? We left a tip. Some of us printed a receipt some of us didn't I did. I looked at my receipt because I wondered why my bill went from 70-100 well it was because since we were 6 people 20% was already added and so I had left an extra tip and so each of us did. The 6 people thing was not communicated to us. When we brought it to the management attention we were told that there should have been a label maker sticker on the menu. Now we would've seen a black and white label on a red and black menu and being new looking at a menu over and over we would've seen it. Or our waiter should've said something regardless. We felt like he/they were being sneaky and almost like we were being robbed of more money. So the integrity was lost for me here. It's very unfortunate. So if you go here just ask for a paper receipt before you pay. Or just know 6 or more the tip is already there.

For us the food was outstanding and definitely worth the price. Despite being busy they seated us quickly despite not having a reservation. We found the service to be good and the atmosphere also quite nice.We ordered the whole bass in Szechuan chili sauce, the three cup chicken, cucumber salad and the Xiao Long Bao. All were very good. The whole bass was the star. The soup in the bao was outstanding even compared to some I’ve had in Chinatown in NYC, but in my opinion the wrappers could be thinner. Beautifully folded.Even the tea was spot on. Price was a touch high but not unreasonable considering the location and the quality. I would highly recommend. What a relief to have actual Chinese food on the east side rather than the many Americanized versions from which we’ve all ordered take out.

We went here for my wife’s birthday. We had the kids with us too. Our server, Christian, was exceptional and so accommodating for our dinner. We had one of the private rooms which allowed for a great experience and atmosphere. The food was amazing and I really enjoyed the drinks. The Toki Old Fashioned was delicious and I will be going back with my wife for an adult evening soon.

Came here to celebrate my birthday and had a fabulous first experience! Christain was a truly wonderful and curious waiter; the staff was accommodating, and we felt comfortable with our young children there.Definitely a higher end atmosphere, price point and menu, AND worth the splurge evening. We had one of the 3 private rooms, which was great, the only note I’ll make about the atmosphere is at times random commercials would run on the TV instead of the background image. Many of the dishes are shareable and the quality is excellent. We will definitely be going back! Found a new favorite location in town!Kid-friendliness: The staff was so kind with our kids. They had adapters for chop sticks, plastic cups, and were over all welcomingz

Had a 7pm reservation, arrived at 7 and waited 20 mins to even get to the reservation desk to check in. Then they told us it would be another half hour before we were sat. They were still seating 630pm reservations at that point. Waited almost a half hour then checked in again at the desk, still 5 parties ahead of us. Saw many tables waiting for food the entire time we were waiting. Ended up walking out and didn’t even get to eat there because if we ever did get sat, food would take at least an hour to come out and we would miss our movie. Avoid on Saturdays even if you have a reservation!

Reservation for 7 seating 6:30 when we arrived currently 30 people waiting do not make a plan to come here.

Our server Jazmine gave both my mom and I excellent service. She offered recommendations and explained the menu. The food was delicious as well as the cocktails. We will be back!

Very well executed. Food has great flavor. I think it's a bit expensive. We would have preferred to get a couple of dishes and shared. Nice looking

Lao Sze Chuan is a chain from Chicago - think fancy Szechuan food. The decor and ambiance reminds me of the more modern restaurants in China. We have been for both dinner and dim sum - dinner is more Szechuan based food. The dim sum is arguably best in town (though selection is slightly less than others)! Come check it out - you won't regret it!

Finally authentic Chinese food on Cleveland's east side! The Peking duck is a must try....

Workers here are usually nice. Food takes awhile to come out. Overpriced food as well. Lo mein dishes are pretty flavorless. Interior is nice.

I'm going to sue this store. They dared to charge tax and charged me a %30 tip without even telling me that I ordered takeout. It's such a shameful store.
