Had a nice dinner at Smokey's BBQ Roadhouse in Oregon, Ohio while on vacation in the area. My husband had the half chicken with a baked potato and salad, I had the pulled chicken salad. Even though the pulled chicken salad came without the advertised avocado or cheese, it was delicious so I didn't mention anything to the server. My husband was happy with his meal also. Good service and nice atmosphere.

food has zero flavor. onion straws were NOT done, and barely had any breading. who wants a bowl of raw onions?! garlic parm chicken chunks did not taste garlicky or parmy. mac and cheese tasted like nothing. steaks were chewy and bland, even with onions.

Restaurant was empty. The drink I wanted to order wasn't available. My husband and nephew ordered the bucket of beer. I thought 6 or 8 beers came in an actual bucket. Nevertheless kind of subpar. Burnt ends seemed like they came off of some burgers. The sauce selection is pitiful. The house sauce tastes like ketchup with some sugar and maybe some liquid smoke; subpar.

Cheese curds were great. Brisket was dry. Nuked potato came out about the time I was done eating. Several dirty tables everywhere. Waitress dragging a trash can around dining room while we were eating. Didn't even finish our food. Was definitely better in the past.

I ordered through DoorDash. It was a total accident that I ordered Smokies. Two times lol I was looking for something to eat, Thought it was Shorty . but it’s Smokies. I gotta tell you , I got the half rack of ribs. The meat fell right off the bones. It was so good. The coleslaw was good. Also, the beans were OK but it’s my fault not theirs. I’m just not huge on big pieces of red or green peppers. But they weren’t bad. So yeah, I Went twice by accident. But I really like it.

The steaks are why I gave this 4 stars. Sides tasted good, but the cocktails are not good. Bloody mary was average at best, and the margaritas were terrible. The Wednesday steak specials were fantastic, my sirloin special was very tender 😋 .

Our food was not hot, our beef brisket and steak was tough. portions are very small. It took a long time to get seated and waited on. They were not busy. Our waitress stayed and talked and showed pictures on her phone to1 big table most of our time we were there.
Discount steak meals on Wednesday. Great environment and friendly staff. A++

The taste of the food was pretty good, but unfortunately, it didn’t feel fresh. As you can see in the photo, the potato looks like it had been sitting out for a long time—not something freshly made. That was a bit disappointing.
However, the service was excellent! Our server, Sara, was amazing—super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience much better.
