The building is nice and the bar area was busy. I tried the buffet but only got food off of the salad bar because it all was too dry or swimming in liquid. The menu food choices seem very dated. Pie was good though.Edit- attacking customers too in reviews is not a good look.
Not fancy schmancy, but grandma is cooking in the kitchen and mom and daughter run the front end...I only get the buffet so not sure what's even on the menu...in Ottawa on a Monday? This is a great place for lunch, that's meatloaf day...and buffet is only $7.25...I always support locals and when I roll through Ottawa (especially on Mondays) I stop at Schnipke
I have been to Schnipke Inn on multiple occasions. If you are not from the area, you can drive right past and not even realize it is there. Street parking on side street, or parking by the VFW across the street. Handicapped access available. Has room for meeting/conference or small gathering. Food is average but very inexpensive. There is a bar that the locals like to frequent. Again, reasonable prices.
