Food delicious hot and fresh! The owner was great and very helpful answering every question! I just wish there was a coat rack because the seats did not have a back on them. But it was still clean and well kept! Good job guys!
If you want that classic Chicago style Italian beef, this is the place! Melt in your mouth meat, bread that soaks up the jus like a sponge and speaking of the jus, it's so good I want to get it in a gallon to dunk everything in it. The spicy giardiniera has a great bite to it and it is homemade, not from a jar. They offer delivery as well as classic pick up and you can even sit at the bar while the juices drip down your arm onto the counter as these sandwiches should be eaten....
I was traveling to Michigan and the night before I was scouting out my lunch stop along the way. Their great reviews and the thought of a proper beef sandwich with au jus sent me twenty minutes out of my way to here. It was worth the detour! My roast beef sandwich was absolutely perfect. The bread had a perfect thickness to soak up the wonderful au jus. Twenty years in the restaurant business and this was one of my top sandwiches ever.
