Rudy's Bakery and Deli is a nostalgic mom-and-pop shop, nestled in the quaint suburban town of Parma, Ohio.

Adorned with historical artifacts from an erected metal telephone booth to L.P. covers of the late Lawrence Welk, Liberace, and Jim Neighbors to name a few. Above the entry doors, you'll enjoy local children's art, and packzi centerpieces in the walkway. Paczki boxes cover the windowpanes, handmade paczki chandeliers hang from the ceiling, and a paczki box photo booth is tucked in the corner of the shop.

Trademark reasonably priced merchandise is neatly placed on shelves and tables aligning the windows and walls, doesnd does a great job at diverting your attention from the twisting lines once inside. There are a few scattered antique metal chairs for guests (who could lose their place in line if seated or may get in the way of workers taking orders to customers' cars).

The mouthwatering aroma of freshly baked pastries fills the air around the shop and order forms are located on tables scattered about the shop.

The dense paczki is packed with a variety of flavorful buttercreams. Perfect for any palate neither the dough nor the cream is too sweet. I had the maple, maple bacon, apple, strawberry, and Valentine's fresh strawberry chocolate. There were a variety of other options like the Sauerkraut and Kielbasa Sandwich on a Paczki bun, which I haven't tried yet.

Customer service was moderate to slow. The person who assisted me was rude and not sympathetic to this being my first visit or the fact that we'd been in line for an hour and a half. 😤 She appeared irritated by my inquiry about pricing as there is a visible pricing list. Perhaps her lack of good customer service can't be attributed to her young age.

I would suggest ordering in advance for the elderly, handicapped, or those with time constraints. While visiting I witnessed an elderly lady fall from standing in line too long. The older staff ran to her aid and were very attentive to her, their quick response kept everyone calm and she left unscathed.

Over all an okay experience, the other guests in the line were friendly and very helpful educating us on the history of the shop, Polish customs, and language. They definitely added to making my experience pleasurable.

We always come to Rudy's the Saturday before Fat Tuesday. We arrive when they open at 8am and I am in and out in under an hour. For the 1st hour, they only had 2 people checking people out. The line wasn't moving at all.. Normally they have 4 or 5 people checking out and the line moves much faster. It's disappointing, we waited 2 hours today and they were running out of the new Malley's one. This can hurt their business if people have a long wait and a bad experience, they may not return.

I am visiting Cleveland from Indiana and saw Rudy’s as a local recommendation on Reddit. The only paczki I have ever had are from Meijer and these were stellar! I got 1 dozen of assorted sweet paczki, 1 savory, and 1 dozen pierogi. My total was around $55. No comment on the pierogi because I haven’t tried them but both the sweet and savory paczki were superb. Wait time was about 30 minutes but it is their busy season and they were only out of one flavor out of their many choices.

Visiting for the first time and loved it. Very busy for a pre holiday but they had a lot in stock. Pierogies, cookies, strudel, etc. all for decent prices and to be honest I’d rather pay for local vs big time corporate. The vibe inside is pleasant and the definition of Parma’s history of its people.

My boyfriend purchased 2 almond breads, 2 pastries and 2 strudels. Everything was good except the strudels. They were tasteless and hard. The almond bread is awesome as is the raspberry and cinnamon pastries. Would definitely go back for that.

Although we didn't come in there to purchase any bakery we had hoped to find some breakfast items, however there weren't any. Their bakery items looked very lovely and if we were in need we certainly would have purchased some.

We moved from the area 7 years ago so we hadn't been in for a long time. We purchased a nut roll, 1 apricot Danish, a pound of nut kolachkis, 2 cupcakes, 1 chocolate bomb, 1 brownie and 2 dozen pierogies. Firs, the good....the apricot Danish was the best I have ever had. My son enjoyed the chocolate bomb. The cupcakes were average and we were definitely expecting more for $4.50 each. The kolachkis are very dry and disappointing. My husband tried 1 bite of the brownie and threw it away. 3 of the 4 sides were rock hard. We haven't tried the pierogies, but I'm hoping they are as good as in years past. Fingers crossed for the nut roll tomorrow morning as well. After spending over $77 we had hoped for a better experience.

The real thing without dirtying your kitchen! All the choices are exceptional but never leave without a box of kolachi and some pierogi

Awsome bakery. Found this place as the West Side Market was closed. Bought perogies, strudel and some sweets. I'll return again whenever in Cleveland but this time with a larger cooler!
You can't go wrong here!

Stopped in and found a key lime bomb i couldn't wait to get home and try. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. Terribly dry yellow cake with a mound of slightly lime flavored very sweet frosting and very dry coconut all over the sides. It also had a long brown hair in it which I do not blame Rudys because I've seen these exact cake bombs in other bakeries.

Best place to stop in and pick up frozen Pierogi to compliment the smoked kielbasa that you picked up from State Meats or from Pinzones meat shop

Popped in for the first time at 4:34 on a saturday. Sign indicates they close at 5pm Saturday so we did not think it would be a problem. Rude young woman acted like it was killing her to throw some pastries in a box. Seemed very uninterested in answering our questions. We asked the flavors of a few pastries and she just stared blankly ahead. Look, I dont expect a young person to be thrilled about working on a Saturday afternoon, but I do expect the bare minimum. A little exchange of information. I am new. You are not. Simple concept. Don't make this weird.
