The clam bake is one of my favorite things to do at this restaurant. The food here is always good

I feel they were short handed. We were seated timely and drink orders taken—30 minutes later dinner orders taken—a full 50 minutes for our meals and not one time did we see our server again. We were never offered refills for our drinks and those that had cocktails never had the option of a second. Our food arrived at luke warm to cold an hour after ordering (6 of us). No words when we left. I have been here many times so I dont know if this is new management or short handed but not what I expect from Stancatos.

Fantastic food and service, very busy and a little behind on seating reservations, however, the staff was friendly and professional. We had enough time to wait in the bar and enjoy a cocktail before dinner; the bartender said we could have our clambake at the bar if desired. The bar was nice, with football on all tvs and nice background music -- we considered and would have if we didn't like the table we were taken too. We were seated in a booth in the corner of the dining room, with plenty of space. The clambake was served in several courses, all were hot and delicious. The host circulated through the dining room several times to check on guests, and the wait staff were attentive and kept the meal on track. What a great experience, we'll go back next fall :)

Took my wife for the clam bake to celebrate her birthday. Have gone for several years now. The food is incredible as as well as the food. Love the Italian take on the clambake.

Great food as always! Made a reso weeks ago and arrived to 30-45 minutes behind for seating.. got placed in the bar area which was extremely loud. Service was consistent.

We had reservations for 6:30 was not seated until 7:15. Why require reservations if you cannot manage the time effectively? I could have gone to any restaurant and waited 45 minutes for a table without reservations. Once seated, the service was still very slow. Clams came out just barely warm and the chicken was so dry I couldn't eat it. This will likely be our last time here.

We had the best family clam bake ever! Food is always so well prepared. The bread is outstanding, marinara so Italian, clams hot and tender, amount and tastes of the food phenomenal. Our waitress, Tanya was sweet and friendly AND efficient! Can't say enough good things about this restaurant, (gem of our neighborhood) and staff!!!

Went to a celebration of life party there, and many of us were very disappointed with some of the food and beverages. Salad was doused with too much dressing and very soggy. Chicken was so dry most of us couldn’t eat it! The bartender was brand new and screwed up our drinks and didn’t know how to pour! I wasn’t shocked! I already had experienced issues there in the past with my own parties so it didn’t come as a huge surprise, but the sad part is I haven’t been there in over 10 years and there are still similar issues! You get charged top dollar for food and drinks and it’s definitely not worth it!!! Many of us discussed we would never return! We did not inform the host! We felt bad for them!!!

We went for our first anniversary because we had our rehearsal dinner catered by Stancato's. It was the first time either of us had been to the restaurant, though I've had food from their catering quite a few times.
Service was slow. Our server was very nice, but for example, I asked for a box for my food and she passed by me quite a few times before coming back to me ten minutes later and asking me if I was ready for my box now. We were seated by the bar, which wasn't her fault, and had to listen to people talking loudly throughout our date.
The food was very good, though my risotto was a bit underdone. It had a good taste to it. The rest of it was perfect. I recommend the chicken parmesan. Because of our anniversary, we were given a cannoli, which was wonderful.
The stall I went into for the ladies' room was tiny. I don't know if the other one was a handicapped stall, but it wasn't marked on the outside.
