El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant

My daughter (15) has sensory issues with food textures and can only tolerate a limited range of foods. One of the few things she can eat is macaroni and cheese, so that’s what we order for her. She typically gets two orders with no sides. Every time we’ve come here, we’ve been charged the $7 per mac and cheese, which we’ve been fine with since she doesn’t eat the sides anyway. Today, however, we were told there’s an additional $6 upcharge because she’s not under 12 and is ordering from the kids’ menu. I don’t understand why age is a factor here. It’s the same portion, the same food, and they’re still being paid for it. In total, her meal came to $20 for two small bowls of macaroni and cheese solely because of her age, which feels excessive and inconsistent considering no one else has ever done this and she cannot help the fact that she cannot tolerate other food textures. Ps. The birria tacos have zero flavor.

me and my boyfriend have been coming here for years it is both of our favorite Mexican restaurant. they never fail to display food beautifully, rice is delicious, and multiple items on the menu are so good to try out

Cuisine was incredible and authentic in flavor. We were treated to complimentary chips and salsa upon being seated. My husband and I shared a mojito. He opted for water and I chose Diet Coke. He ordered from the vegetarian menu and I ordered tacos. Both entrees were flavorful, fresh, and plentiful portions. Prices were reasonable, wait staff attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Went here last night and ordered the chimichanga , couple hours later felt really terrible and ended up puking. Ended up with food poisoning will never come back here again.
