If I were only reviewing the food and drinks I would give this place 5 stars without a doubt. Unfortunately, I have to instead only give 3 stars because of the negative atmosphere created by the young girls running the place. While I sat and waited for my avocado toast to be made, I listened to them make snarky remarks about every single person who walked through the door. Some comments were made after those customers left, others while they were still in the store. Mostly talking about their appearance. They clearly thought they were gossiping quiet enough that nobody could hear but they failed that mission. Not sure if this is more a reflection on the store, these girls parents, society in general, or maybe all of the above? Either way, it's sad these girls think it's cool to be judgemental and treat other human beings that way. I promise you it's not and it says a lot more about you than it does about anybody else! Do better.

We love Local Roots! We found them after a family member recommended and have been coming since. We’ll even take a day trip and fold it in to support small biz.
I so appreciate their sweet staff asks each time if I need a dedicated GF toaster for my bread 😋, and they happily modify some of my menu items if needed.
The newer location is spacious, just as bright, and has coffee! Thank you for choosing such great ingredients and going the extra mile for great taste, presentation and fun merch, too!
