I had an absolutely horrible experience at this McDonald's today—honestly, I’m still a bit shocked. It was the single worst customer service experience I’ve had in my 42 years.

Our plan was to take our kids (15, 8, and 3) to see the Minecraft movie, and since we saw McDonald’s had a Minecraft crossover, we decided to go there for lunch beforehand, thinking the kids would love the toys.

I placed a mobile order with table-side delivery. When we arrived, we found a table, I checked in on the app, and our food was brought out quickly.

As I was passing out the food, I realized the Minecraft toy that was supposed to come with my 8-year-old’s meal was missing. I asked my husband to head up to the counter to let them know, assuming they’d just hand him the toy and we’d be on our way—mistakes happen.

He waited at the counter for about 5 minutes until someone came over. From the table, I could see something wasn’t going right, so I left our youngest two with our teen and went to help.

When I got there, the supervisor was saying the toy was a “high value collectible” and she couldn’t give us one based on our word. I offered to pull up the receipt on my phone, but she said that proved nothing—we could’ve taken the toy out ourselves. She said her boss would need to review the cameras, and that we’d have to come back tomorrow.

We were stunned. My husband suggested she come over to the table to verify we had no bags and hadn’t left the restaurant, but she refused, saying it still wouldn’t prove anything.

She claimed this was a “reasonable solution.” I told her it absolutely was not—it would leave my 8-year-old disappointed and require me to return the next day to fix something that wasn’t my fault. Still, she insisted it was the only option.

Trying to avoid further disappointment for my child, I said I’d reorder another meal just to get the toy and would sort out the refund later. I told her we didn’t need the food, only the toy. She insisted that if I placed the order, I’d have to take the food as well. I said fine, but that we’d throw it away because we didn’t need it. She then criticized that, saying it was ridiculous since “there are hungry people everywhere.” I honestly didn’t know what she expected me to do at that point.

I went ahead and placed the order through the app. About five minutes later, she called me back to the counter and said she had talked to her boss. As a “one-time special favor,” they would refund the second meal and give us the toy we hadn’t received.

While the issue was technically resolved, I’m incredibly disappointed by how it was handled. Lunch was ruined, and my husband and I were treated as if we were trying to scam the restaurant over a child’s toy. We weren’t upset that a mistake was made—we’re human, we get it. But the way we were treated throughout was unacceptable.

I will never return to this restaurant again.

It was an unpleasant visit. No one greeted us when we walked in so we had to use a kiosk. The restaurant was not clean even though it was 10:30 am. There were sticky floors, and food all over chairs. Then an older gentlemen walked in to order, he chose to go for whatever reason and the person taking his order was rude to him when he said hello "young lady" (which is terminology for a gentlemen of his age range). She corrected him rudely and continued to take his order. I saw he was a veteran and thanked him for his service and went on my way.

Literally the worst. Came through after softball to grab 5, $5 meal deals.
Once again are we told to pull up to #1 and they’ll bring us our food, but they also stuffed all 15 of those items into one small bag so all the sandwiches are smashed all the fries have now soaked up all the grease and also smashed. These five dollar meal deals are meant to come in their own bags aren’t they? Oh and no napkins as usual.
McDonald’s on Fremont Pike is way better.

The kiosks were off so we stood at the counter for a few minutes while at least 3 works stared at us and said "you have to take it, no you have to take it". When some finally came over she said "what do you need" very rudely. When I said I need to place an order, she came over and was like What do you want. As I ordered she kept an attitude. When we finished the order she did not tell me to pay, just stood there so I assumed I could pay with my card and did. She did not give us a receipt or our drink cups (did not ask us what we wanted to drink). She said ill bring it out to you and walked away. She was also just as rude to the next group of people that came in. When someone else tried to bring out the food he asked the other table if they were order number x, they said they didn't get a number but it wasn't their food, so he asked us and we said we didn't get a number either but it was our food. We said we didn't get our cups and he went to grab them and brought us drinks already made (again she didn't ask what we wanted). We didn't get an actual receipt so we went online to do a guest survey and funnily enough you can't do an actual survey, you have to call the store for feedback, cause obviously they're going to care (gotta make sure we cant get rated and show how we actually work, right?) She seemed to be a manager too, even more ironic.

I ordered a breakfast meal. The hash brown was saturated with oil and could not be eaten. The order was messed up and I had to wait on the side. I normally love McDonald's breakfast, however this was very disappointing. It wasn't during a rush time either. There was only 2 of us in line.

Dumbest cashier i have ever seen. My total was $2.79 and i gave her $3 coins and tell her to keep the change. Then i moved to next window for my order. Another employee gave me weird stare. Then was holding my order in her hand asking cashier all ok did she pay and got approval that yes gave me smile. I said u think I didn’t pay? She was like umm I don’t know. I mean how weird. Mcdonalds please don’t hire dumb people. Hire some smart and qualified ones plz.

I’ve never had an employee anywhere speak to me so disrespectfully. I still feel as if I’m being pranked. Corporate needs to come thru and clean house. All the makeup and eyelashes in the world couldn’t hide this girl’s ugliness. The food was also dried out and clearly been up for awhile as well. It’s sad to see how much this location has gone downhill in the last year or two.

Went thru drive thru and was rushed to order. It's like they are in a hurry. The sausage muffin i got the bottom part was hard and crunchy. This is the third time I was rushed by the same person she does wear a mask.

Trash. Waited over 45 mins for a mobile order. Had to go inside to receive food and no one greeted me until the food was bagged. Very frustrating. Witnessed multiple people drive off because of the wait

I got hired here. Worked there for a day. Let’s go back to the interview. The GM asked no questions. Rolled her eyes at my availability and then just told me to come back for orientation. Came back for orientation. Filled out my own tax paper because I know how to, she played on her phone the whole time. Barely talked to me. She brought out her scheduling manager ( honestly she should be the GM. She was the only person who even seems to care in the whole store). I got my hours for my first day. Came in and with my background I was ok just starting work. I have experience as McDonald’s management and I have GM experience. So the start of my shift was ok. I worked with the scheduling manager. It was just me and her for a bit. I will say that any time a customer had a problem they would openly talk about how dumb or stupid the customer was. When the night shift came it everything took a huge turn. Everyone was wear earbuds, girl taking orders upfront was watching Netflix and then getting mad at customers because she was missing things on their order. Then manager in the grill area sent a man home and pretty much made him walk out because he was wearing headphones (literally everyone in the store was) and that’s against the rules. So he said something about everyone in the store wearing them so why can’t he.. she lost it. She belittled him in front of everyone. Honest opinion. If I was her GM that would be the end of her career with me. She then talked about him for the next 3 hours of my shift. Between all of that going on. They kept pulling people forward and then just standing in a circle talking. I didn’t get mad til there was an extremely kind family that came through. They only got sundaes. The crew ran out of fudge. So we pulled the family forward. They waited outside for 18 minutes. Know why. They were standing and talking. So I finished their stuff and ran it out to them.

That night my Stepdad had a stroke. The next day I called off. I was helping my mom. They then sent me 19 messages. I was done. I can’t work for a place that can’t even get customer service basics down. No wonder no one wants to work there. Here’s the kicker. They NEVER paid me :) I know I only worked 1 days, but come on… really… the GM needs to wake up.
