Sidelines Sports Eatery - Perrysburg

Nice open floorplan as I like to see everything that's going on wherever I'm seated, and it's not caked with trendy nick nacks plastered on the walls. Seated quickly during lunch hour and drinks on the table within 5 min. Friendly waitress. Ordered the Philly steak and waffle fries. Philly could use more onion and peppers but the cheese and meat ratio was on point and the bread was soft. Don't remember how much I paid but I know I left satisfied.

Very good food and good service!

My mother and I arrived around 11:50 am. Apparently, we didn't order until after 12:15 pm when a big party was leaving, according to the bartender/manager. We were trying to be very patient with the new girl, but at 1:24 pm we were finally served. Took the waitress a good 5 to 10 minutes to get refills, Diet Mt. Dew one time and water for my mom. We ordered perch. The perch was good but apparently they couldn't see fit to serve the sides of mashed potatoes and California veggies hot along with the fish. We never received an explanation as to why it took an hour? Now we remember why we stop going to Sidelines! Food service was bad last time.

Where do I start...first a watermelon margarita was ordered but received a Moscow mule? Childs pepperoni pizza ordered, received cheese? Burger ordered to be cooked well to maybe medium, received medium rare, and waitress acknowleged she put in med rare, why??..very raw. With all these going back, not one but 3 different issues..some ate after others, not all together. Place was low to no customers, so busy wasn't the issue. One of our party, a waitress for many years commented how awful this experience was. No comps on bill, just continual apologies. We will NOT BE BACK!! bill was over $70, tip was a meager 10%, not our usual. Come on sidelines, you can do better. Waitress seemed to prefer her suggestions vs what was actually ordered. Service was worse than poor. Food ok, but dining out should be a treat and relaxing....not so here. Note taken that waitresses had free time to chit chat with each other. Bathroom not the cleanest.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Service & Long Wait Times

This was my first time at this location, and unfortunately, it will also be my last. The entire experience felt like a bad movie that just kept getting worse.

After being seated, we waited over 45 minutes just to place our order and then another 60 minutes for the food to arrive. When it finally did, the meals didn’t come out at the same time, and much of the food was cold. Two people at our table had to send their meals back, yet the waitress never acknowledged the delays, the cold food, or even offered an apology.

The manager did comp one meal and provide a discount, but considering the poor service, long wait times, and lack of basic hospitality, it didn’t feel like enough.

I’m sharing this in hopes that management takes action to better support the on-site team. If there aren’t enough staff to provide reasonable service, then seating fewer guests would be a better approach than allowing such a poor dining experience to happen.

I feel like when you sit at the bar, you should never have an empty glass.
Each time I come it’s the same. Empty glass. No menu given.

Very friendly waitress. Relaxing.

Waited almost an hour for our food. Bartender was inattentive and when I spoke with the manager, he said that “this is normal” Also, the cheese wasn’t melted on my chunks and the bacon is fake. The manager didn’t offer to make things right. I wouldn’t wish service like this on my worst enemy. Huge disappointment.

I’ve been going here for the last couple weeks to watch football and the food has been great! The service is a bit slow but very kind and football is always wonderful. I’ll keep coming back during football for sure!

Went in today at 4:10 pm stood at door as no host was present. Was told to sit anywhere. Went to high top by bar. Never got acknowledged. Had to ask if someone was taking care of that section. Was told yes ….” must be in back “ ….. we finally left…. couldn’t wait any longer. Place only had 2 tables and a few people at the bar…. nearly empty… now can see why and after reading other reviews….it looks like the lack of service is a large and standard issue here. Went to the new Tailgaters.

I came here for lunch recently and had an excellent experience. I was seated quickly. The food also came out fast and was very tasty. I got a New York Strip steak, which was cooked well. The sides were also flavorful. The service here is good. The restaurant is clean and has a good atmosphere. There is a small arcade area here too. Overall, Sidelines is an excellent restaurant with good food and fast service!

I was with a party of 7. The restaurant was not busy and it took an hour to get our food which included several salads. Once the food actually got to the table we were missing a cheeseburger salad( literally a hamburger patty and lettuce) it took them an additional half hour to get the salad there. The rest of our table had already eaten. Our waitresses response was ‘we have 16 year olds in the kitchen” the manager never made an appearance!

Very spacious strip mall sports bar with plenty of tables and a good sized bar area. TVs everywhere you look on almost every space of wall throughout the place. Their Famous Fowl Balls (chicken chunks) are prepared to give it a nice crunch and texture. I had the Louisiana Hot which were great on their own or dipped in ranch. I'd come back here to watch a sports event. Check it out if you're in the area.

After getting drinks, appetizer and ordering entrees, asked server for plates, napkins and water. Server never came back until we flagged them down asking for our check. The chicken wrap was bland, no flavor. The perch sandwich could not be eaten as a sandwich. Looked like a slice of cold Kraft cheese tossed on it. Never going back.
