Coffee is best around. Food is average at best. Would've been nice to have food worth coffee.

My wife and I have been going here for years and the coffee used to be so good. In the last year or so the quality and consistency of drinks has really fallen off a lot. Would love for them to get back to how they used to be. If I get the same latte on 4 different days it tastes different every time. Everything tastes overly sweet lately.

Coffee is great but they are losing a star for this egregious and exorbitant price for this tiny sandwhich 😂 they must have used the macro lens cause it looked way bigger on the picture.
This is a fantastic place to meet, study, converse, and just take a rest and be your best!

My fiancée and I have traveled all over the country and to Europe as well. Everywhere we travel, we make it a point to try local coffeeshops. Of all the places we've been, The Flying Joe is, and likely always will be, our favorite. The coffee, service, and atmosphere are all incredible. Best coffeeshop ever!!

The food and drinks are decent, but waiting 30 minutes only to receive our hot drinks iced — and with items missing — is exactly why we tend to avoid this place.
THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICHES, not just of the local coffee shops… but anywhere. They’re hot, fresh, and I can never choose between the garlic or maple aioli so I get side cups of both! Pumpkin matcha was delicious, definitely on the sweeter side but I know that’s how most people enjoy them. I love the rotating seasonal menus. YUM.
Had the Flying Joe Mocha and Flying Dutchman breakfast and WOW!! Both are incredibly delicious! Love the atmosphere, too. No wonder this place is popular!

one of the best dark chocolate mochas I've ever had, so good
the breakfast sandwich was pretty good, but honestly, over $17 for a small sandwich and a mocha is a bit much, that's why it's not 5 stars all around
it was so busy, but I didn't have to wait too long, and there was still some good seating left
I ended up having a really good conversation with a stranger, the sense of community is alive and well here, I appreciate that

The prices here are bonkers. Bought a 12 oz bag of beans (not even a full pound!) and a *small* mocha and it was over $27, BEFORE tip. Insane prices, probably won't be back, but the coffee is really good. Service was so-so.

Bit of a wait on weekends. Outside seating. The wait was for service and meal not table. Worth the wait.

The Flying Joe is a coffee shop on steroids. We had breakfast (sadly not coffee) here and were quite impressed. Staff friendly, fast, aiming to please. Food delicious. It's hard traveling in the midwest with our different dietary restrictions so we are thrilled to have found this place. We've got one gluten free, one vegetarian and one vegetarian and dairy free. We could all get a great meal here!
Excellent coffee and pastries. Fin and inviting environment. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
