Unfortunately the yum yum sauce is absolutely terrible to me and the ginger sauce. There was no flavor to it. The chicken bowl I had was mediocre. This place use to be excellent years ago. Thank God I had my own sauce because this was a horrible experience for me. It hurt my stomach honestly.

This Genjigo location is an absolute failure from top to bottom. I don’t know if there’s no training, no standards, or no pride, but whatever system is supposed to exist here is completely broken.
The meat is routinely undercooked. Chicken that’s pale and rubbery like it never finished cooking. Steak that’s raw in the center and cold in spots. This isn’t preference — this is basic food safety being ignored. I’ve had two-day-old McDonald’s that was hotter, better cooked, and more enjoyable than what’s served here, and that’s honestly humiliating for a restaurant charging real money.
The sides are just as pathetic. The rice is crunchy, every time, like whoever makes it doesn’t understand how cooking works. The vegetables are soggy, over-salted, and lifeless, tasting like they’ve been sitting around forever. Nothing is fresh, nothing is balanced, nothing feels intentional.
What really makes this place a joke is the complete lack of consistency and care. It feels like nobody is held accountable and nobody gives a damn what goes out the door. This isn’t “fast casual” — it’s careless slop dressed up as a meal.
Corporate needs to seriously reevaluate this location, because it’s damaging the brand. If this is the standard Genjigo is okay with, that’s embarrassing. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — not even as a last resort. Eat literally anywhere else

I don’t typically write reviews, but this was rough. I walked in at 8:40 to order takeout. I asked if it was too late to order and the girl working said “technically nope” while looking right at her Point Of Sale system with a rude tone. I asked if they were already closed up and she sighed and said “yep” with a death stare as if I insulted her.
I originally asked because I would have been ok if she said “hey we have orders we’re wrapping up and we’ve started closing”. The one in grove city welcomes anyone with open arms before closing, I just came here because I was close. Now I know to just order ahead from GC
I manage a retail store and I would be blown away if any of my employees addressed the customer the way she was addressing me.

I waited 5 minutes to be greeted and when the staffed noticed me standing there, they yelled back to their cooked and asked if they were still taking orders? He yelled back “im not making no chicken”. They weren’t using gloves while preparing the food and using profanity. So unprofessional

Genjico is hands down one of the best fast-food hibachi spots I've ever visited! The food is always fresh, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The portions are generous, the prices are great, and the service is quick without ever feeling rushed. The staff is friendly and keeps everything clean and welcoming. Whether I'm grabbing lunch on a busy day or treating myself to dinner, Genjico never disappoints. Highly recommended if you love hibachi flavor without the wait!

The customer service is poor. We frequent this location often and order kids bowls for our children. The portion tonight was significantly less than usual. I called to request a replacement and the employee that answered was extremely argumentative. She repeatedly spoke over me and was rude.
Because we do not have one in NEWARK OHIO PLEASE OPEN ONE !?!?!? THE FOOD HERE IS AMAZING!!!!!
Didn't give me any yum yum I paid for extra only got 1 when got 4 bowls and didn't give any veggies that I asked for regret giving a tip

Deshawn (or however its spelled) was by far the RUDEST “manager” I have ever came in contact with. Would not let me speak and overspoke. In the location and over the phone was by far the rudest experience from management ever. When I called the first time asking for corporate number and asked why he thought he could talk to me aggressively, . He “hung up” on me stating “there is nothing more he wants to talk about and hung up a second time. We purchased $50 in JUST one of their items (this was our 10 time at this very same location by my home) and because it was on one container he stated its not allowed. While standing in the store, he came in the door, walked past and stated “HEY YOU CANT DO THAT” aggressively and I had explained that it was all paid for and we were about finished and he continued! Corporate information was asked for and was told “you can look it up on he internet” before he hung up the first time. I will drove completely to the other side of town to T have to deal with racist, degrading and disrespectful management! Small community with powerful words, Pick-town will hear about it for sure!

Waited 30 minutes in store for online orders to get completed while I got ignored the cook couldn’t stop drinking his Taco Bell drink I spelled my last name, clear as day still couldn’t write the ticket correctly after waiting 30 minutes still didn’t get My order correctly got something completely different than what I asked for. Everyone there had a bad attitude the person who took my order, looked dirty, and their appearance was disheveled This was August 28 at approximately 6:45 PM. The whole staff needs fired. I don’t like spending almost $50 to get my order incorrect

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I am writing to express a serious concern regarding an experience I had while dining on a chicken and steak bowl I purchased from your establishment.
As I was eating, I discovered a sharp, wooden-like object embedded in my food (please see attached photo). The object has pointed ends and resembles a splintered stick or something potentially hazardous. This was not only disturbing but also posed a serious risk of injury had I bitten into it or swallowed it unknowingly.
I am very disappointed by this experience and am requesting a full refund for my order. Additionally, I would appreciate it if this incident could be investigated to ensure the safety of your future customers.
Please let me know what steps you plan to take regarding this issue. I can provide any additional information needed, including the date/time of purchase.

Nice and fresh but a little more salt and less pepper please it’s spicy and kind of hard to enjoy cause of the excess of black pepper 🙏🏽
