The store messed up our order, and did not notify us. When we called 30 minutes after our quoted delivery time the woman who answered the phone cursed at us and hung up. We never got our food. Terrible customer service on this instance. It’s unfortunate because we love their food.
We’ve been ordering from Gionino’s for a while now and love the thick crust, attention to details of the order, and overall quality. However, we just ordered recently and the price seems a lot higher than it used to be. As in, $28 and change for one large pizza. Seems a bit overpriced at this point in my opinion.
I'm an Akron native who grew up on Gioninos, and occasionally get enough of a craving to make the 45 min drive each way (1.5 hrs total) to get it since moving down here. For the first time in my 30+ yrs of eating Gioninis, I had a truly disappointing pizza last night. I debated saying anything, cause I love this place and their pizza, but I did see they have new ownership so wanted to share the feedback. I'm totally a crust girl, but something was wrong with the dough....
