I should have known there would be a problem when I went to pick up my food on a Saturday evening, almost 8pm, and the restaurant WAS EMPTY. EMPTY. Not sure how this place stays open. ? Ordered a pound of headless shrimp with Cajun seasoning, extra seasoning. Medium spice level. Lol, man, it just tasted like butter. Cajunless with a -2 heat level. Shrimp swimming in a bag of butter and bad vibes. I had to look at my receipt again to make sure I wasn't mistaken with what I requested. And I guess I'm used to southern "headless" shrimp-head off, back shell cracked and shrimp deveined. These shrimp were headless, but for many the back was barely split and more than a 3rd were not deveined. No Bueno. And I was missing a side dish. It makes sense why the place was empty. Lackluster dinner. Will not be returning.

I visited this place for the first time and it was wonderful!!!! Go run and visit Stephanie ASAP! Her service and recommendations were outstanding!!! I ordered the lobster roll and raw oysters and my husband ordered the crab and shrimp roll! Needless to say I couldn’t post a picture because we ate it all!!! Stephanie made the visit very pleasurable and she deserves a raise!!! Good job guys!!!

Jay's Crab Boil & Oyster Bar is located close to Marcus Theater. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a wide variety of foods from the menu. We ordered a couple of appetizers. I had the lobster bisque, and my wife had the lobster rangoon. I opted for a surf and turf. My wife had salmon and lobster tails. The wait staff was friendly and helpful.

Stopped by and got the sashimi appetizer and the Alaskan Rainbow Roll. Both were excellent. I'm liking some of the new menu changes here!

If I could leave zero stars I definitely would. I went Wednesday evening and order the sausage, shrimp, and crab boil. I substituted the sausage for more egg. The server asked did I want the head on the shrimp or off. I said on..andndid I want melted butter. I replied yes and cocktail sauce as well. What I received was shrimp that had not been cleaned at all...still had the the veins in them, melted margarine instead of butter no where near the amountnof crab legs advertised. I let the waitress know and she asked me did I want real melted butter..and that none of there head on shrimp were deviled and she wanted me to know for fitire reference , that neither was the crayfish. She brought m shell off shrimp that were over done and old, and the melted bitter tasted for fridge/freezer. The whole experience was horrible..Oh and to stop it all off I'm pretty sure i have food poisoning from the lottle bit I did eat...This place should be shut down.

My expectations weren't great, I was really mistaken. This place is amazing, every item the four of us ordered was amazing. Shrimp, crab legs, hush puppies, gumbo, crab chowder, coconut shrimp, cheese cake and chocolate cake, unbelievable. The waitress (Jada) really hussled, was so friendly and helpful. I expected our bill to be over $300, again I was super surprised that even with a generous tip, it was far less than that. Can't wait to return!!

My son and I both got a crab and shrimp boil in garlic butter. Every item in them was delicious. I got the medium heat level, my son got mild, both thought they were spot on. Mine had just a hint of heat without going overboard. The sausage, potatoes and corn while not the stars of the show were as good as we've had in a boil anywhere. Often corn cones out bland and flavorless, but it was good. All I had left in my pan when finished was some sauce! I rarely eat the sausage and corn at other places, but this was just too good not to.Service was excellent, our server visited our table to check and offer drink refills frequently. She was friendly, and we also tried the Rangoon appetizer she recommended. The rangoons were perfectly crisp and well filled. The dipping sauce was a delicious pairing to them. Very tasty and will be getting those again.I think we found a great place to go out to. I need to get my wife to come next time.

I have been here numerous times, had many group gatherings here, and never had a problem. Not sure if there is or was a management changed but I seen servers, serving food to customers with their cell phones to their ear, we seen staff huddled up hanging out with other staff or friends on cell phones, we had to constantly ask for refills, complaints about food, no silverware. The kids pizza is not a kids pizza. All of the shrimp in the boil bags was over cooked, some didn't even get the right amount of shrimp. Servers attitude was like oh well, I even pulled her aside to let her know we would like to have a good experience, advised why we were there, she didn't care, she did nothing to try and make it right at a table of 12 people only 2 kids. The Gratituaity of 18% was automatically added to the bill, but service was not worth it all. My first thought was we should have left, but I didn't want to inconvenience everyone, including my son, on his 26th birthday. I wanted to speak to the manager, but we all felt it wasn't even worth it. We will never return.

Seafood chowder served with no seafood in it. Seafood added and returned at the end of the meal. Ordered iced tea, never got it. Wife's crab boil was so salty neither of us could eat it. Bill $102 and no alcohol. The finale was an unpleasant bathroom experience. Never again!
