Porters Coffee House and Bakery

I just love this place. Everyone is friendly. The food and drinks are always so fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is great. Thanks for being an amazing attribute to your community. 🖤 Ps they did our wedding cake and cupcakes back in 2021 and were wonderful!

Porters made the cake for our wedding and it was so beautiful and delicious! It was easy to order online for the date we needed and they provided a classic design that we loved. We received many compliments from our guests about the cake! We’ve visited Porters many times for coffee and baked goods, and we were so happy to be able to include them in our wedding celebration!

Nice place to meet a friend for coffee & the food is amazing.

Was my favorite coffee shop.

Came away disappointed.

(1) not liking the employees’ EXPECTATION to leave a tip. I always do at Porter’s, but of late, no thanks, no gratitude or appreciation when I leave a tip.

(2) I wanted pumpkin syrup not knowing that Porter’s is not as sweet as others. I think good service is having an educational moment by telling me that. I ordered my coffee drink with less pumpkin syrup telling her I didn’t want it too sweet.

My Mistake - I left without tasting the coffee drink first. I got down Hill Rd and turned around to go back to Porter’s. The drink was awful. I’ve never gone back to have my drink fixed but this time I needed it to. Mistakes happen. Not a big deal. I went back and told her there was no pumpkin.

(3) Same girl that made it explained that Porter’s pumpkin syrup is not as sweet. She didn’t feel the need to say that when I was ordering? Porter’s should not take for granted everyone is familiar with all your coffee drinks. Educate us!

(4) I told her I absolutely could not drink the coffee and asked her to remake it. She said she would have to charge me another drink…$7

(5) so I just gave you $7 for coffee and a $2 tip and I received a very bad drink. Now you say another $7?! Total lack of customer service.

I’ve always supported Porter’s. Unfortunately as you grow you’re losing the customer experience.

Today was the last straw.

I have been here hundreds of times, and have been a very consistent customer with a very consistent order of frozen drinks. For some reason, my order is made incorrectly over half of the time. Well today I went into the drive thru and sat there for almost ten minutes with no one coming to take my order, pulled around to see if the store was even open just to pull around to the drive thru once more, now with someone in front of me and who immediately got their order taken care of. Well when I finally got my order taken care of, I pulled up to the window and have two drinks that didn't have the drizzle I asked for (this happens to me almost every time I go here, so not new) one being iced and one being frozen. I know for a fact I said frozen for both. So here I am arguing with someone playing I said she said, for something I didn't even order! Used my $5 off just to turn around and be charged for another drink. I explained to her calmly I never get iced drinks and she said I'd have to be charged if I wanted another one. I paid for three drinks receiving only two, and used a $5 off that doesn't even cover the full cost of one of those. Ridiculous rule on the owners part, especially when you lose long time customers over it. And once I got home I realized she didn't even give me straws for the frozen drinks. Thank you Crystal great service!

Instead of trying to open another location, maybe train the staff you currently have, because they don't seem to know what they are doing.

I will definitely be recommending other places with not only friendly baristas, but qualified ones who get it right.

This was a bad day. Yes we went for coffee at 9 40 Sunday morning which must be peak time. However, it took 40 minutes to get 3 cold drinks and one 1 hot drink. Staff looked overwhelmed. System or ordering and picking up orders needs an overhaul

This was my first visit. Very disappointed . My frozen pumpkin latte had no flavor. Staff was not helpful or friendly.
Instead of offering a replacement, I was given flavoring that I was charged for that should have been in it already.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Columbus, and don't get me started on their delicious pastries! This location is also fully accessible with provided accessibility parking, ramps both leading up to the door and once your inside, a variety of home style seating options, and a private restroom equipped with safety bars. This local gem is ready to be enjoyed by all!

I am a local, I enjoy an iced coffee and a cinnamon roll every Saturday morning, just about.. I suggest ppl go there all the time..Coffee and Bakery items are off the hook ? ?
