I loved my latte with a beautiful rosetta on top. The sausage and cheese quiche was scrumptious. It was difficult to decide what to order, as everything looked so delicious. Have to get back there soon.

The atmosphere and coffee here are both amazing. They also make some really good food and sweets I've had in the past. Rather you want somewhere to go sit down and have a coffee or just a place to grab it and go this is perfect. The espresso has a nice rich flavor.

The only thing to be sad about is not making the drive to try this place out earlier. If I lived in Pomeroy, Ohio, this would be my daily local shop, no questions asked. I’m saying that based on my first experience, the environment was very clean, with several comfy seating options and a lovely window bar facing the beautiful Ohio River. Excellent outdoor seating as well, with the same view and a very nice selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I had the Cali chicken club, and it was freaking amazing. It tasted like something out of a high-dollar restaurant and was presented picture perfect as well for the coffee. I got a double iced hazelnut oat milk, shaken espresso. It’s an amazing drink that crappy corporate Starbucks fails to duplicate in every which way. This is what coffee should taste like. Support your local business.

My first time in here, but the coffee was good and didn't scorch my tonsils with my first drink. I purchased a blueberry breakfast cookie which was simply amazing. Next time I am back in my hometown, I will sample the lunch menu, but it looked solid with wraps and salads.

River Roasters is the kind of place that I thought could only be found in Hallmark movies, but it is real and beautiful and yummy and is run by the most amazing family and staff. It is my home away from home and welcomes EVERYONE, which is not the case in so many cities around our nation right now. Thank you for being a beacon of humanity (and yummy-ness), River Roasters!

The best coffee, the best food, and even more — the best people! River Roasters is truly the heart of our community. Larry and Candice pour so much love and care into everything they do, from the incredible drinks and meals to the welcoming atmosphere they’ve created. I moved here from the coffee mecca of Seattle, and I’m so grateful to have the best coffee right here in rural Appalachia. It’s not just a café; it’s a true community hub where everyone feels at home.

Awesome cozy place to enjoy lunch. We enjoy boating up to Pomeroy just to dock and have lunch here.

I tried this coffee shop recently, and unfortunately, the coffee was not very good. I left my original one-star rating a few days after my visit based on that experience. Since then, I’ve learned that the owner has been personally reaching out to people I know stalking their social media and reaching out trying to find as much information about me as possible just because I left them an honest 1 star rating, which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I feel bad having to leave this kind of review but I have zero choice!

If this harassment continues — or if I find out others are being treated the same way for leaving negative feedback — I will contact the police. A complaint has also been filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

Not a good experience for my first and last time there. Paid for a large hot chocolate and received a small ( they did fix it). I ordered a caprese with chicken and it was great! Also ordered a greek salad that somehow ended up with chicken on it too ( I did not ask for chicken on my salad). Took close to 25 minutes to get my food. Didn't care for the music being played. I completely understand that ppl make mistakes and all is forgiven. Just sharing my experience today.
