We haven't eaten at LJS for quite some time due to the food just not tasting very good. We decided to give them another try after we heard they were under new management and hired a whole new crew. I'm soooo glad we did!! The food is always hot and fresh, our order has been correct every time, and the service is always friendly and accommodating. We have ordered from this location 3 times over the last month and have been satisfied each time. Keep up the good work 😊

Drive thru takes forever been sitting here for 20 mins with another car ahead of me their still waiting on their food its ridiculous to wait this long

We decided to eat here today around 3:00 pm since we had coupons and glad we did. We ordered the two can dine and the spicy double cheeseburger combo. After waiting several minutes we received our orders. The food was hot and fresh and nice portions with great flavor and you can still get your own drink whenever you want plus refills in which many fastfood establishments are going away from this kind of service, so hats off to the person who prepared the food and the crew members that day, great job!

My first time ever eating at a long John’s the service was good for it being empty building seemed very clean (apparently they just opened back up) I don’t eat fish so I got a hamburger. Within an hour and a half I was puking. Extremely weak and lethargic left work early and even missed the next day due to food poisoning. Not sure how you mess up a hamburger but yall need to check your kitchen better. Day two and I’m still not back to normal. Don’t play around with peoples food!!!!

Ordered 4 meals with two pieces of fish in each gave us 3 tarter sauce when called the lady said that was their policy one packet per meat hello did you not hear me we ordered 4 complete meals done again !!!!!!

I hope Long Johns is still actively monitoring this. I'm sad to see it's closed, and I saw all these negative comments left. Unfortunately you always hear the bad reviews and never any of the good ones. I just want you all to know any time I went there and placed a to go order, I never had any issues, the counter person was always friendly and polite and I got my orders, so I don't know if y'all just saw the negative Nancy's comments when that's all you get that's all you know. People are more apt to complain than they are to leave compliments. And for those of us that had no issues and enjoyed the food, I hope y'all just upgrade whatever preventative maintenance things that are needed and re open. If y'all close then there's no fast food seafood options left in Portsmouth. I always enjoyed the fish, coleslaw, shrimp, clam strips, crab cakes etc. And that A&W Root beer! For all the long John silver fans in the area, please don't close permanently! ?

Dining room closed. Went to Drive Thru. Waited 10 minutes or so for the food to come out. They forgot my drink so I asked for that. Then while waiting I checked the bag. The waffle fries were missing. They said oops and went to cook them. 3-4 more minutes. Meanwhile the rest of the food getting cold in the car. Then after all that the hush puppies were old,hard and extremely greasy. Onion rings were undercooked. We won't be back when visiting from out of town. I used to work for LJS years ago. I can see why they are going under now.

Worst food I ever ate the hushpuppys. Washardas a rock no bread to them at all you could squeeze the greese out of all the food. Food was cold. And very old. I had to put it in the trash. 16.83. For food. That was so old could and greese my dogs. Would not eat it
This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life the cussing was awful and when we speak to the gm he told her not to come out but she confronted us any way if.it was me I would have fired her NO one cares about ur aunt not finding ur ring we just wanted to eat and she wanted to talk about a ring when she come over I told her we was talking about Jess and to get back over there she cussed I get customer ain't always right but I know I'm not because I heard it she come out and asked my husband have 54 sec on ur fish u want to eat first or give.it to her I said we don't care we just want to eat she needs customer service training again when customer walk in they want to.order and eat not talk about what ur aunt did or didn't do we like it short sweet and be done someone should always be at the front counter all the time instead some people yelling Jess u got a front then still had to wait a few she didn't get my order the first time bc she was to busy talking so I had to reorder it

Came in to eat and all the register person wanted to do is talk about a ring her cousin or aunt is suppose to give her we don't care we just want.to eat i.order my food and she.was to busy talking and not listen to my order so I had to order my food twice and she wanted.to keep talking about a ring I love day shift people.they are very professional and very respectful they don't cuss they actually listen to the.order

I want to powerwash the entire inside of this place with degreaser & sanitizer.
Stick to the drive-thru bc walking in might make you change your mind then you won't get your fix of greasy fried fish & hush puppies. Which would be a shame bc it is friggin delicious and you have to have it at least twice a year.

Do not go in here. They have no air conditioning, nor do they have heat for the winter. Corporate needs called. The food is so greasy you can't taste the food itself. It's horrible inside. No one goes in but when they do it's a super long wait.
I feel sorry for the employees working in those conditions.
