I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. We ordered a 14” pepperoni pizza, pierogis, and a kids' quesadilla. The pierogis were decent, but the pizza really fell short. The sauce tasted like something out of a pizza lunchable, and the pepperoni had a strange flavor. For $22, I expected much better.

Service started off fine, but things got a bit uncomfortable when we declined a box for the leftover pizza. I wasn’t planning to say anything about the food, but after the server asked a few times if we were sure, I explained that we just didn’t enjoy it. The kitchen manager came out and awkwardly asked what was wrong with it, but seemed confused and dismissive. It seemed as if he felt there couldn’t possibly be an issue with the pizza. She did offer a 20% discount, which was appreciated, though it only took about $4 off. I wouldn’t say the service was rude, but it did feel awkward and uncomfortable. A more positive and empathetic communication style could make these situations smoother and leave a better impression.

The location is great, and I think the restaurant has potential, but it seems like the kitchen manager might benefit from more training or experience with pizza-making. Sadly, based on this visit, I can’t recommend the place. That said, it might just come down to personal taste, and others may enjoy it more.

We walked in at 8:26 P.M. at night, there was one party in the back of the restaurant. One party of six people but every single booth was filthy. We walked out. No greeting, no clean seats, hopefully the new management works out the kinks. :(

You wouldn’t guess, but this place has stellar entree salads. Gallops is kid friendly…my kids love the menu and seeing sports on all the TVs. Gallops also has an outdoor patio. Haven’t noticed any negative difference since the name change.

Kid-friendliness: my kids love the menu and seeing sports on all the TVs.

Use to have great large pepperoni pizzas here but the last two I've ordered most recently were mediocre at best. Maybe they changed the ingredients but still the cheese should never look moldy...

We went for lunch. They don't have coffee or any hot drinks. They didn't have milk or any kid friendly drinks. The food was terrible even as bar food goes. I'm sure it is a fun place at night to have drinks and watch sports. But they have “kitchen” in their name, implying they want diners not just drinkers. It is simply not a good place for dining. Especially not family dining.

Might be the worst service in Powell (I’ve tried to support this place). I called three times this evening to try and order carry out and the gentleman continued to say he could not hear me (I was sitting in a quiet house). He was rude and showed zero sign to actually want to help or provide actual customer service. Place won’t be around much longer

Made a reservation via Open Table for 11am on Mother’s Day. Got to the restaurant and the sign on the door said doesn’t open until 11:30am. We came back at 11:25 and it was still locked with lights off and no signs of anyone inside. There was a sign inside the lobby that said “Happy Mother’s Day” and no indication that they would be closed for the day. There were about 5 parties of people waiting outside when we left at 11:45 with other people also having reservations for Mother’s Day. Terrible experience on a holiday no less. Will not return.

Well I showed up for my reservation on Mother's Day at noon. The place was closed. Not a person to be found. Since it was Mother's Day, we had to scramble around to find alternative dining. I will not be eating there again. Has really gone downhill since it changed names/ownership.

The restaurant business was brutal and only got more difficult. I think it is hard; but transitioning the Google entry to Gallops would be nice; but I also understand people are finding it by searching for Gallo's.It did feel weird being Gallop's; but see above running a restaurant is hard.1) The menu is basically the same but without the teriyaki wasabi wings (unless it is off menu) and Mamma's salad (in name)2) Everything was good. The side Caesar salad was bonkers cold and great. The TBC (turkey bacon club) was cooked to perfection.I hope Gallops can get more foot traffic because we don't have enough places that serve good food. There are more than enough mediocre bar type restaurants. I have no idea if Tommy still "runs" Gallo's tap room; but my experience at Gallops is minus Tommy, it is the same food and drinks that you loved. The staff, that I saw, was also great which has always been a hallmark of a Gallo's restaurant.I am not sure if they switched to Pepsi or Gallows was always Pepsi; but just FYI, Not a deal breaker for me but as I stop drinking beer I do care a bit more. :-)Good Luck.

I reserved a private room for a retirement party on Sunday the 14th during the Masters Tournament. If was a huge success and the service and food was fantastic.

We always enjoy eating here. By keeping much of the same staff, the transition appeared seamless to us. We would enjoy some vegetarian choices!

The best “east coast” style pizza I've had in Columbus ever! Patio was great. Service was on point. They made a small mistake and took care of it immediately. Our waitress was a delight. We will be back soon!
