We used to love the Powell Massey’s location but over the last 4 months the service and food has declined considerably. They added tablecloths which could be a nice addition but tonight every one of them was dirty. We picked the least dirty to sit at. The staff were playing and watching videos the whole time. My pizza was burnt and husbands was fine. Sad to say our favorite pizza place is no more. We will start looking for a new one.

The worst food besides salad, that I've ever had. $50 in the trash. They left food on the porch without even a knock. No salad dressing, no dip for the calzone. Cheese sticks were nuked. Most disgusting food I've EVER had

We had the lunch buffet here. The staff brought out an appropriate amount for the people dining, and responded quickly to customer requests. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. Staff was courteous. The games available to play are an added bonus.
Will definitely return.

So awful! Sauce has changed and is now very sweet. Really undercooked even though I asked for well done. Very doughy. This used to be the best pizza, now horrible.

I have read some reviews and would like to address the ingredients… they taste like bland garbage due to the owner’s inability to order the ingredients from a truck that carries all of the iconic ingredients that make Massey’s, taste like the Cadillac of pizza we all know and love. It is a shame that the reply from Massey’s left that out and acted clueless. When you hop around GFS and Kroger’s for whatever ingredients you can afford, no 2 experiences will ever be the same, the quality plummets, and loyal customers do not return. Now on to the employees… They are not being paid in full, and on time. This has been a problem since may of 2025 and continues to spiral.

We’ve been getting Massey’s pizza for decades and it has always been a family favorite. We ordered tonight for the first time in several months and I could tell right away it was not the same. The pepperonis were much bigger, the cornmeal almost nonexistent and most
noticeably the sauce was much sweeter. I called the Powell location to ask some questions and was told that they have been getting 100’s of complaints a month about the sauce not having a lot of flavor- too tomatoey. I tried to confirm that the sauce that they have used for years and years is suddenly a problem? The worker wasn’t outright rude, but sounded annoyed and definitely wasn’t very helpful in trying to answer my questions. Sadly, we will not be back- just not the Massey’s we’ve come to love.

Massey's changed the pepperoni ? It's bland and just not good. We were very disappointed.
Staff was ok. Place was clean.
We will not be back. Save money and and go somewhere else.

This place is wonderful! Sure you have a Massey's menu but it feels like a restaurant. The counter guy even looked out for me. I didn't know there were peppers in the salad. Since I took the 🌶 off my sub, he took it off the salad! Which would have been asked for I had known. He then checked with me to see if that was the right move! All this happened before we were served but after we paid. Really went the extra mile for me!

Alright—Massey’s Pizza, Powell location. Walked in, ordered the pepperoni, Hawaiian, and some wings. Standard order, testing the fundamentals.

Let’s start with the pepperoni—thing is loaded. Like, absolutely stacked with crispy, curled-up pepperoni. Cup-and-char heaven. The cheese? Melted perfectly. Sauce? Surprisingly flavorful—has some depth to it. Crust? Thin and crisp with a cornmeal dusting underneath. Holds up when you lift it. Undercarriage is solid. This isn’t greasy, floppy junk—this is tavern-style done right.

Hawaiian? Not bad at all. Heavy on the toppings—sweet pineapple, thick-cut ham, decent balance, though maybe a little less pineapple wouldn’t hurt. Again, crust holds up, and nothing slides off. Clean execution.

Wings? Fine. Not dry, not oily, just okay. Won’t blow your mind, but they round out the order.

Now… the crew? Not exactly dialed in. Looked more interested in the group chat than the customers. Lotta laughing, lotta standing around. No urgency. Then they panicked when someone ordered 25 pizzas last minute. :) But hey, I didn’t come here for sparkling customer service—I came for the pizza.

And the pizza? Delivers. For a chain, it’s fresh, flavorful, consistent. Not trying to be Neapolitan, not trying to be something it’s not. It’s Friday night pizza. It’s Columbus tavern-style done with care.

Final score: 7.1 out of 10. Would I come back? Absolutely. Just don’t expect the red carpet.

I have never had a truly terrible pizza in my life until tonight. It was most bland awful thing ive ever eaten and the first pizza ive completely thrown away after 1 slice. Truly amazing how terrible it was. Like you have to work hard to make something this god awful.

They also clearly just microwave the cheese sticks too, since those were hilariously limp and depressing.

The website asks you to vote them as the best pizza in columbus. My vote is to go literally anywhere else.
