We were a few minutes before opening and they greeted us with open arms. Very attentive service and the food was excellent. Only odd issue was that they appeared to be deep cleaning the walls and floors in a section of the restaurant. I didn’t think anything about it but my wife was a little creeped out by it.
But as a whole the experience was excellent and they were great.
Kid-friendliness: We did a la cart order for our daughter and they worked with us very well.

Went in for the first time for lunch today. I was sat at the hibachi grill, but they moved me to a dining room table, as there were not enough people to run the grill. Totally understandable. The dining room seats were comfortable and I had great service. Got the hibachi chicken and it was tasty and juicy. I asked for onions only for the veggies and I got a half of a plate of them.....yummy!! The fried rice is also good and I liked that I didn't have to pick carrots and peas out of it. The salad with ginger dressing was also good. I wasn't a big fan of the mushroom soup, but everything else was delicious. I will definitely be back!

We moved to Powell and have now tried to check this place out twice. Unfortunately, the first time we went for dinner, they sat 7 unaccompanied minors at our table. They were acting like fools, spitting water at each other, asking each other how much money everyone had to pay for their meals. We asked for our bill for the drinks and app we had already ordered and left.Fast forward to today-figured we would check it out for lunch. Walked in at 1:20 and was told to have a seat for 5 min in the waiting area for Hibachi. (There was 1 table with 4 people at it)17 minutes later there was no update and the hostess was no where to be found. Extremely disappointed-I was really hoping to give them another shot. Management really needs to clean house and get some staff that will build your customer base and maintain the service that clearly used to be there!I’ll be sticking to House of Japan or Daruma.

Ordered takeout chicken hibachi, spicy tuna rolls and pad thai. Hibachi had no flavor, the soup literally tasted like water and had no veggies at all, just broth-colored water. Sushi was subpar for a grocery store, completely unacceptable for a japanese restaurant. Chewy and not spicy. Pad Thai had almost no veggies and was not spicy as ordered. The fact that they charge $23 for hibachi this bad is truly stunning. We love japanese and hibachi, and this was the biggest letdown. Staff are kind though, and order was ready fast.
