Came from Urbana Ohio on a random day trip and found this place on Google. The river view was amazing and the food was so good! The three layer chocolate cake was divine! Will definitely keep this on our list for the future? perfect mom and pop vibes with an upscale atmosphere

Great small restaurant with a great view of Ohio river. Food was good. We came for a late lunch and the service was great but the food took a little long to come out.

This has always been a favorite restaurant to visit down in Ripley, OH. Unfortunately, I believe the place must be under new management in recent years, and the entrees are just not the same. Not having been there in several years, my family was disappointed with the atmosphere/quality/service. We were literally the only customers there on a weekend, which could have been our first sign that things were different. Our waiter was very young and did not appear to know anything about the menu items. We did enjoy the homemade bread brought out initially, and their Italian wedding soup was good. Unfortunately, the entrees were more like bar food, not the homemade dishes and excellent steaks they used to offer. In fact, as we waited on our meal, the repeated sound of a microwave being used in the back had us questioning what was being made and what food was actually going to be fresh...The menu items and prices seem the same, but the taste is no longer outstanding, as it used to be. The entire strip of businesses down at the river (except the bar a few businesses down) all seemed to be out of business too. No doubt COVID had something to do with the downfall here, but we probably won't return, not for the prices and our most recent experience.

The food was fine. The view was lovely but it took 2 hours to get our food and they forgot a sandwich. If you are going to be open, be open. If you can’t handle a crowd, it is time to close. Sad. Looks like everything else in this town is gone.

The only down side is the time it took to get our food. With only one waitress and one cook, if it is busy expect a wait. Good food, though, at good prices.

Service was good, comfortable setting and nice river view. The bread appeared to be homemade and was delicious. I asked for & received some jelly for the bread?. Disappointed in the fried fish as it looked like something from a store package. Probably should have tried the catfish. The salad was good and the soup (bean & sausage) was different (seemed more like beans & weenies). It would have been nice if they had something like hot open faced turkey or beef with gravy and mashed potatoes, or maybe pot roast/vegetables. Guess I was expecting more home cooked food. Didn’t try any of the desserts. Would maybe try again especially if they continue serving the bread!

Had the special steak sliders, very bland, others had the grilled cheese with bacon tomato and onions, wasn't very good either. Their homemade bread was good so was the chicken pasta soup.
