The Depot is a cute little diner with good food. My husband and I went for breakfast on Saturday morning. We both really enjoyed the food. I especially liked that I could get half orders of items or one of things like pancakes. Their pancakes are the size of the entire plate! Every waitress working checked on us, not just our own waitress. The only drawback I found is totally just a personal preference. They serve Pepsi products and I like coke 🤣 I would totally recommend going here .

I went to The Flavor-Free Depot with my GF expecting a breakfast meal. What I got was a culinary hostage situation designed for geriatric people who think Jell-O is exotic and salt and pepper is a controlled substance. If you cant eat salt then this is the place for you, they season absolutely nothing. she got paper egg omelet and i got biscuits and gravy but it was flavorless mush.

I got Country Fried steak & eggs. My only complaint with the whole trip there was how little steak was actually in the patty. Eggs were good. Rye bread was good. Chocolate milk there was fantastic and real cold. Has a real good feel and kind ladies

Use to like the place. The service went downhill. Visited with my mom and was ignored.

Rittman historian Patt Watts says the city is named for Fred Rittman, former treasurer of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, which built a line through town in 1871. Previous name ‘Arkona’ had to be changed because it was too easily confused with Akron.
The Erie Depot opened 1871 on South Main Street, but farmers moved the narrow wooden building to its current location in 1913. Conrail took over Erie in 1976 and discontinued its Rittman service in 1983.
Debra Lieberth has owned The Depot for 20 years. Located across the tracks from Morton Salt facility, which means customers never have to worry about running out of seasoning.
Folksy charm with train memorabilia and old photographs. 🚂
Two popular meals are The Conductor

Family has loved the Depot for many years. Their breakfast is my favorite. Their sausage patties are the bomb. Yum. Always nice folks and nice service there.

Breakfast, ordered the special which consisted of one biscuit and sausage gravy, two eggs, and bacon. The biscuit was light and flaky, eggs over easy were cooked well with runny yolks, and the bacon was crispy. Typical breakfast offerings but they were good. We were seated immediately and the serving staff was friendly and attentive. Typical small town diner feel, the restaurant was clean and food came out fast. No issues this visit.
