Great food. Great ice cream. Really Americana feel. I really love this place. It's what small town America is all about and what it does best. The only reason I couldn't give it five stars was because of the gnats. A plethora of gnats outside. We ate in the car. I don't know if the problem can be solved. I still loved it.
The Tastee Twirl has been an institution in Rockford since my childhood and I’m not sure how many years before. I don’t know what this small town would do without a place for soft serve ice cream cones and shakes after little league games. Great time. We ordered a western burger, pizza burger, and coffee milkshake. All hit the spot. Sat round outside in the cool evening air watching the sunset. Can't beat it honestly.
