I've been to Newellstown several times over the last few years. I love the atmosphere of an old diner, and I want so much to love and support it, but I'm usually disappointed. We all go out to eat for the food. Breakfast is okay, but any time I've ordered lunch or dinner food, it's not been good. I ordered wings there the other night, and they were overcooked and tasted terrible. I hoped it was just my batch, but the ones I bought for my boyfriend were the same. Burgers have been passable. I love breakfast sandwiches, and they did have good ones. But the last few times I've gotten them, the eggs either weren't cooked fully, or the English muffins were dry/old, something.The service is also strange. Again, it's a rag-tag team, which is fine in theory, but it's clear the staff are untrained. They don't know how to make certain things. They don't always know what is supposed to come with your order. I didn't get the drink I paid for the other day (but I said heck with it, I was just ready to leave). One time, I asked for a milkshake. The girl was real nice, but no one had taught her to make a milkshake. It was a cool experience because I stood at the counter, and led her through making a milkshake. She was awesome, but why is the staff not trained to make drinks? If you sit outside, sometimes they don't come out to take your order. The staff seems very social and chatty with certain people, probably friends or regulars? And they seem to prioritize those folks. I've never had anyone be rude or anything, they're nice. It's just not very professional, and the food isn't good.

Service seems adequate, but untrained. Had a lady give me 1 peice of French toast, and when I inquired how Many you usually get, she said 1. Next time I came however, I got 2 peices. We asked for hot chocolate, the server didn't know how to make it, atleast she was honest and tried her best. My girlfriend and I got wings, there were barley any meat on em, they were overcooked, and the sauce was pretty bad. If you're not getting breakfast, the food's sub-par, even when you are, it's average at best, and edible at worst. Training, and consistency need to be Better. We only went there multiple times because it's close, relatively cheap, and helps the community.

This place is AMAZING!!! when you walk in the door it's like walking into the 70's!!! Food is amazing!!! If your debating on getting the chili?!? GET IT!!!! OHHH and the biscuits and gravy are PHENOMENAL!!! It's easily one of the best chili's I've ever had! Would LOVE to come here again!!

We drove an hour and twenty five minutes to get to the Ohio Valley Mall to visit Sam Goody and saw this little diner in St. Clairsville. We picked this place to eat and we were not disappointed. Small town, down home atmosphere. Awesome food.and a white board you can sign your name and where you’re visiting from that they put on the wall, We will be visiting this little place again.

This place is a little gem for breakfast. Good simple food at reasonable prices, great service, and a cool retro diner atmosphere. This is a regular breakfast date for my hubby and me.

Went with my girlfriend today, our first time eating here. She got the Club Sandwich and I decided to get a double burger. Wasn't sure how big the burgers were so got a double just in case. Needless to say, the single would have been plenty lol. Was very impressed. Good portions for the price and food tasted great! Very nice small town diner type of feel to the restaurant. Service was very good. Definitely will be going back in the future!
