Friendly Tavern Reviews
Friendly Tavern was so willing to work with me! I recently reserved Friendly Tavern for a small gathering, even after hours, they were willing to provide a space for me and a few friends to meet and catch up (of course, I paid willingly) they were very prompt in letting me know if my request could be accommodated, and Amy was so welcoming, helpful, and friendly! I have also come here to eat several times and recommend Friendly Tavern highly! Thank you!
The Friendly Tavern is a classic restaurant with a full bar—serving Titos and lemonade on draft (it’s delicious!) and pairing perfectly with our New York–style homemade pizza.
Dating back to around 1828, it may be one of the oldest taverns in Ohio. If you haven’t stopped by lately, you’ll love the updates we’ve made to give you a warm, welcoming dining experience.

The Friendly Tavern is a must-try restaurant that offers an amazing dining experience. Their pizza is a highlight, with some claiming it's the best outside of New York, though some recent orders lacked extra cheese as requested. The garlic knots are also a hit. The breakfast menu features delicious options like the Western omelet and fried potatoes. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and helpful, making visits super pleasant. The restaurant is known for its homemade burgers, Texas toast BLT, chicken chunks, pulled pork fries, and hand-cut fries, all at very reasonable prices. The beautiful interior and excellent service make it a place to return to, though the step at the entrance and raised seating may limit wheelchair accessibility.
