We stayed there for 10 days ! July 25th thru August 5th! First of all the manager at the front desk Missy Jennings was so rude and nasty! We checked in and the only rooms available were on the first floor! The room had 2 queen beds one night stand and dresser and then a small bathroom! They said that was all that was available because they were supposedly doing the rooms over! No windows in the room except to look out into where they had table and chairs and nothing else, TV was mounted up on a wall and could never find a remote to use. Asked to have clean towels every day! No one ever came to deliver them so we had to go to the desk and ask for them every day! Asked why our room hadn't been clean for days and they said they didn't clean because we left our own pillows on the bed and they said they could not touch them!! That manager Missy Jennings was so rude and told me I should have moved my pillows off the bed! No where did it say anything about moving our pillows and they never bothered to tell us!! I said well why wasn't our bathroom cleaned because they couldn't touch the things on the sink and tub!!! They had a room which they said we could get breakfast but they closed during the week at 9am and they never had much food in it! We go to Salem every year to visit relatives and decided to try this place! I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! Spoke to a couple of people who where staying their and they said the same thing! We travel a lot to Salem because we have family that live there! Holiday Inn will get our business back for sure! You need to train your staff how to treat visitors! i will surely NOT recommend this place ever again!

Incredibly rude service, and I'm not even a person to say something like that. We came from out of town and chose this place based on the website stating they are open until 1am. Around 10:30, we were offered another drink which we gladly ordered. At 10:40, out of nowhere, the staff turned out the lights, began singing "Black Betty" back and forth across the entire facility trying to get us to leave. We are reasonable people. Had our server simply said to us, "Hey, we would like to close early, is there anything else we can get you?" we'd have asked for a recommendation on where else we could enjoy a drink for the evening and been on our way. Instead, we were bullied by the entire staff. When forcibly offered a to go cup for a beer we'd just ordered (ie slamming them down on our table) and then getting snapped at about closing at ten, we asked why we were offered another drink then. Her response? "Well you shouldn't have ordered one." Noted.

We held our wedding at the Timberlanes Complex and I could not have had a better experience. We worked with the event coordinator, Missi, to plan our reception in the Grand Ballroom. The decorations and up-lighting they offer transformed the room into a beautiful wedding reception hall. With Boneshakers catering, there was a variety of options on their catering menu for appetizers, entrees, and alcohol packages. It made everything extremely easy to plan! Missi was beyond organized and ensured every meal went to the right person at the right time as there were wonderful servers that night as well. They also turned on all of our own lighting decorations, set up the cookie table, and cleaned everything up afterwards. This allowed for us and our families to simply enjoy our special day rather than worry about the event. Courtney was a huge help the day before with our room set-up. She was able to offer suggestions and help us achieve what we envisioned. With so many family and friends coming in from out of town, it was perfect that the hotel was in the same building. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. We blocked the entire hotel, so the lobby area and indoor courtyard served as a great space for those staying to socialize. Guests from out of town were within walking distance to the church where the ceremony was, all of Salem’s downtown, and they didn’t even have to go outside to enjoy the restaurant and bar. Timberlanes fit our wedding needs perfectly, and we could not be happier!

Went to dinner there last night and my waiter was Chad. Not only did he help me pick out the most delicious pork chop dinner but he made my experience so enjoyable. I will go back again for those pork chops but I will request Chad every single time!!!

The last time I stayed at The Timberlanes, the place was awful. Old, dank, and smelled like cigarette smoke.WHAT A TRANSFORMATION!!!The new ownership and make over of the Timberlanes is amazing. It looks nothing like the old place at all. Its beautiful, bright, cozy, and so clean! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurants are conveniently near by and very good. The enployees are nice, friendly, and professional. A wonderful and comfortable place to stay.
