My wife and I have been here a few times now. It's located in a small town that doesn't have a very large population. This tavern is pretty busy on Friday and the weekend. The food is usually pretty good here, but tonight, they messed up and fixed a deluxe pizza for my wife, which wasn't what she ordered, and they had to remake the pizza. The service was friendly but slow. Overall, it will probably be a while before we stop again.

Food is hit or miss. Most of the time food is not cooked all the way or still cold in the center. It’s just typical bar food that is mediocre at best. Staff is super friendly and service is good. ***Edit in response to owner. I have no clue what you are talking about with any employee. I happen to like everyone who works there. They are the reason I kept going back. It surely wasn’t the food. When you get a burger that is raw in the middle, there’s an issue. Did they make it right? Yes. But at no point should you be serving a raw burger in the first place. French fries come frozen. They shouldn’t be frozen in the center when served. I’m scared to even order chicken there. This isn’t a one time thing. I have been there several times and have gotten carry out several times. It’s frustrating to drive the distance to the bar and back only to get home and find your food is not cooked properly. That involves calling them, taking it back and driving back home. The rest of your food is absolutely cold by then and half of your family has eaten while the other half had to wait once again for the mistakes to be rectified. You seem to argue with any review that is less than perfect. Perhaps if you spent as much time trying to correct the issues with the bar as you do arguing on reviews, you would get the 5 star reviews you think you deserve. I changed my review to a 1 star because of your reply,

It took over an hour to get my order of 10 wings. With that said, there was only one person in the kitchen and one at the bar. The employees were very nice, just shorthanded. The wings were really good. I just drank beer while I waited.

I’ve eaten here many times, the food is always wonderful and prompt. The staff is polite and always down to have a laugh! During the day, it’s a Family friendly atmosphere and as the evening draws near it transitions into an adult atmosphere. A little bit of fun for everyone…

I stayed at one of the owners air bnbs down the street. there was a mix up due to a technical error on the website. And it caused a few issues at check in. The owner gave me, and my family a free meal from the tavern. The food was incredible. And easily made up for any inconvenience we had at check in. The pizza was seriously the best ive had anywhere.
I’ve tried to like this place but each time I’m disappointed with the food and drinks. Staff is amazing. Unfortunately the food is hit or miss on being cooked properly.

Booked a VRBO in this tiny historic town. The Tavern was in walking distance and we absolutely loved it. The bar manager is fantastic, the music trivia night was so much fun. The food and drinks 10/10. Would definitely recommend this bar to anyone!
Kid-friendliness: Had our three kids with us. They enjoyed their experience and food.
Staff called police on a customer that became angry (not violent) because he waited over a hour for his food after his entire table was served and he spoke to many of the staff before he raised his voice.. what would you do.My reply,Let me reiterate. That customer was not me. Whom ever responded to this should be ashamed of themselves for their asinine response.
