I ordered the beet salad with toasted pecans with salmon. The salmon was delicious, the greens were drenched in dressing and the beets and nuts were so very tiny. Almost non existent.
Food and service were excellent. We were seated immediately with a reservation. Food came quickly.
Disappointing experience. The hostess was indifferent. The table was dirty and sticky. The food was ok. Won't be going back anytime soon.
The calamari was all full of little round crunchiest. Didn't offer to replace when we told him at the end of the meal.
It's a great place to host a business meeting and/or a friendly gathering of friends for fun. It's my go to place in my community and a purely enjoyable place.
I had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner. Its was busy but the manager and staff were very efficient.
We were told there was a limited menu available in addition to a buffet. There was only the buffet. We've come to here on several occasions, and this was by far the worst experience. The entrance was packed with people waiting to be seated. There's nowhere for anyone to sit while they're waiting, so everyone stands in the doorway. The buffet was located near the entrance to the restaurant, so in addition to long lines of people waiting to be seated, the lines for the buffet were also long. Food and service were mediocre at best. Very pricey at $42 per person. We will choose another place to celebrate Mother's Day next year.
It is Mother's Day and they did not tell us it was a buffet when the reservation was made. We waiter 20 minutes for a table with our reservation. The lines were very long at the buffet. My son's only choice was waffles and they were precooked and hard.
They tried to seat 6 of us in a 4 person booth. We had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation to be seated. The buffet was hit or miss. Meats were fine, biscuits were hard as rock and the sausage gravy was lukewarm warm. Salmon was very good. There was no fresh fruit. The salads were on open platters and not chilled. Our server was great!
Burntwood has always been my go-to for a nice evening out. The food and service has been consistently good. My only issue was that we had a 7:00 reservation and we were not able to be seated until 7:15. There really wasn't any place to sit and wait, so we had to stand awkwardly by the bar until our table was ready.

We went to the restaurant specifically to order our favorite salad, The Harvest Salad. It is no longer available. None of the other salads were comparable. The remodeling is very well done and our server, Kitty, was excellent.
My wife and I went during Happy Hour. Tanya was our server. Great personality. VIP Martini was superb as were the items we had --Shrimp tacos. Cauliflower bites as well as the Spicy Shrimp on the starter menu. On the way out Hunter the manager was pleasant and says he loves compliments, great sense of humor. The 2 hostesses were nice as well. We will go back.

I am writing to commend our server, Adam. We were a party of six and we arrived this past Sunday at 5 p.m. We were in a tight window because we were going to a show at Playhouse Square and needed to be out the door by 6 p.m.
We told Adam of our schedule and that's all he needed. From that point forward, he orchestrated the whole experience to perfection. Our bar order was quickly taken, as was our food order, which was delivered promptly. Yet we never felt rushed. He then took care of our checks while we were dining. Everything accomplished in an hour's time and it ran like clockwork. Plus, Adam was extremely cordial and friendly.
In summary, if you're on a tight schedule this holiday season, make a reservation at Solon's Burntwood Tavern, request Adam as your server, and leave your worries behind!

Last week, after doing some business in the area, my brother and I checked out Burntwood Tavern for dinner. We were welcomed with a smile, seated promptly, our server Megan was so pleasant, informative, and fun during our experience. We ordered a number of appetizers to sample things. On our way to being seated, nearly every table we passed had sliders, so we gave them a try - Yum, yum, yummy!!! The calamari, truffle fries, tater tots, flatbread...all good sized portions and made for a delicious second meal for both of us with our takeaways. Megan checked on us, refilled our glasses, and kept the conversation fun and lighthearted. The lighting, music, cocktails, and vibe in the restaurant was how we envisioned a great environment and meal after completing errands during this holiday season. Keep up the great work!
