The food was bland, no seasoning at all and felt rushed. Had to send my food back for being undercooked. Definitely overpriced. Will NOT be trying this place again.

I've eaten at Chicago Deli from since the time I can barely remember up until I finished high school. Even after moving away and visiting roughly 20 years later, the food is as good as ever, especially my favorite, the reuben (it was called the Reuben Hood back then - same awesome corned beef sandwich). Truly remarkable to see how consistent it has been. A place of comfort and delicious food.

Very good food! The Breakfast Bundle was very satisfying, with 3 pieces of Challah Bread French Toast, 2 eggs, 3 strips of bacon for only $13. And as can be seen from the photo, I didn't like it much, 🤣. The Classic Breakfast Sandwich on a croissant was huge, with a large portion of hash browns & onions, for only $12. Food came out quick, Janice, our server, was very nice and attentive.

No breakfast past 2pm :(
The waitress was super duper nice but I’m really disappointed. For years they’ve had all day breakfast and they have good pancakes it’s just a shame you can’t get them after 2pm.

My father-in-law is a senior citizen with a service animal. His service dog is trained to recognize symptoms of his disability and alert him to them. Today the staff allowed my father-in-law and my daughter to sit down with the dog and look through the menu before storming over and telling them to show papers or leave. Apparently in those very words.

I fully understand that there are people who abuse the service animal designation, and it is despicable. However, that does not negate the fact that it is 100% against the law to ask to see paperwork (or in this case rudely demand to see it) or ask what the disability is. Businesses are allowed to ask what service the animal performs, and that would have been fine. Instead, the waitress and another male employee decided to take the confrontational road instead. When my daughter spoke up for her grandfather and cited the fact that it is illegal to ask for paperwork, the male employee smugly replied, “I’m sorry that you feel that way.” She said that the waitress refused to talk to her at all.

What was meant to be a nice afternoon lunch for a grandfather and his granddaughter will now be remembered for the nasty experience they had because of two people with no sense of decency or compassion for those with disabilities. This is unacceptable. I will be sharing this experience with the Attorney General’s Office, in hopes that no one else will suffer the humiliation that my father-in-law and daughter suffered today because of the staff at Chicago Deli. Knowing what kind of people they are (apparently these are newer owners. It seems like the last ones were wonderful), I wouldn’t recommend this place if it were the last source of food on earth. There are far too many other great dining options in the Solon area to spend your money where this is the customer service experience.

New owner has made changes for the worse. Food used to be great but is now just ok. Service is still very good but not as friendly as it used to be. Atmosphere is very nice a a local deli.

New ownership report from a loyal customer for 15 years. No breakfast items after 2 pm. Won’t even toast a bagel.
“The toaster is not even on.”
For real.
Can someone explain the concept of a plug? Or better yet, of service?
Legit. question. Why pay for a place with a loyal customer following if you intend to alienate them?
Too bad for real.

Did you ever have all the food that you ordered come out to the table perfect. That was my experience at this restaurant. I ordered a steak dinner with hash browns and broccoli. The steak was perfectly done medium. That's not unusual. The hash browns were crispy and tender without being greasy. They didn't leave any grease behind on the plate. That's much harder to do. The broccoli was perfectly steamed. Cooked al dente, which is even harder to do. It was wonderful. The staff was friendly and efficient. I couldn't ask for more. Great place, great atmosphere, great food.
