Listen, I’ve had better dining experiences at a gas station sushi stand. Walking into LongHorn Steakhouse is like stepping into a time machine set to “1997 Cracker Barrel clearance sale.” The decor screams “we found a warehouse full of rusty spurs and sadness,” and the lighting is so dim I thought I was auditioning for a role in a low-budget Western.
Ordered the 8oz sirloin, medium-rare. What arrived was a slab of meat so overcooked it could’ve doubled as a hockey puck at the local rink. I asked for medium-rare, not “cremate it until it begs for mercy.” The texture? Imagine gnawing on a boot that’s been left in a desert for a decade. I’m pretty sure my jaw filed for workers’ comp halfway through. The “seasoning” was just salt with a side of regret, and the mashed potatoes tasted like they were whipped with the tears of a line cook who knows they deserve better.
The service? Oh, bless their hearts. Our server, Chad (of course his name was Chad), seemed to be practicing for the World Procrastination Championships. Took 15 minutes to get a water refill, and I’m pretty sure he was out back writing a novel instead of checking on us. When he finally showed up, he dropped the check like it was a hot potato and vanished faster than my hopes for a decent meal.
The sides? The “loaded” baked potato was just a spud with a whisper of sour cream and a single bacon bit that looked like it was rationed during the Great Depression. The house salad was a bowl of lettuce so wilted it could’ve been a metaphor for my evening.
And don’t get me started on the ambiance. The table next to us had a kid screaming like he was auditioning for a horror movie, and the sound system was blasting country music so twangy I started checking my shoes for hay. By the time we left, I felt like I’d aged 10 years and owed LongHorn an apology for expecting better.
Save your money, folks. You’re better off grilling a burger in your backyard or just eating the $20 bill—it’ll have more flavor and better texture. LongHorn Steakhouse: where your appetite goes to cry.

What a disappointment! The place was busy (not unexpected at 6:30pm). Since I was traveling alone, I was told that if I choose to sit at the bar that I could get immediate service. Sat down and waited...and waited...and waited. Bartender walked by twice. No menu, no water, no offer to get a drink, didn't even acknowledge my existence. Not to be upset though, it gave me plenty of time to see the dusty/dirty vine bottles in the wine rack, get a good look at the dirty bar, and smell the odor of rancid beer. That was enough to make me question the cleanliness of the entire place. If the public area looks and smells this bad...can you imagine where your food is stored and prepared? Yeah...me either, so I just left. Thanks for giving me so long to use my senses...and come to my senses!

We were seated for over 15 minutes and finally had to ask who our server was. There were several issues with the food. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin and it came out looking like a charred meatball. We sat for another 15 minutes after the plates were cleared from the table and finally had to ask for our bill. This was the worst Longhorn I have ever been to.

This was by far the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The wings were perfect, the onion petals were delicious, the mac and cheese is made with pure love, I don’t even like salad and the salad was good. THE STEAK THOUGH - longhorn > outback > Texas roadkill. I will die on this hill.

I'm very disappointed in the server and quality tonight. I know some people might have off days and I hope that is all for that young lady that had our table tonight. At the end of the night we just wanted a slice of cheese cake to take home for my brother inlaw. After paying and waiting an additional 20 minutes we still never got the cheese cake. Finally we decided to just leave because the kids were getting too antsy. Unfortunately we were told the manager was busy and could not talk at the moment. I think some more training might be needed for staff.
