Mitchell's Ice Cream (Solon Shop)

I *used* to love Mitchells because I felt safe with the allergy procedures. There are no icecream shops that have any sort of allergy protocol so this was the only icecream shop I would eat at. Not anymore. My husband informed the employee of my severe peanut and tree nut allergy beforehand and they did the usual allergy thing. He comes home with it and before I take a sip I look at it and there were PEANUTS with the chocolate shavings on top. Thank god I looked or I would’ve been in the emergency room. Now, I understand there is always a risk with cross contamination but handing a customer a milkshake with peanuts on top when my allergy was disclosed before is careless. If you have ANY food allergies, DO NOT eat here. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I will never be returning and each staff member needs to be re-trained.

Well, it's a fun place to go with good options and selections. The ice cream is always delicious and they change it out seasonally.it's a win win.

I love bringing my 4 year old here for ice cream and coloring. The ice cream is always delicious - and the atmosphere is top notch. I love the fresh floral arrangements, stylish decor and train. My son loves the coloring station and chance to just relax while he enjoys a treat

Everything here was perfect! I highly recommend the Taster’s Duo, which offers the best value for money. All the flavors were delicious, but the salted caramel and the mango were standouts! Go during the afternoon - the place is empty and the service is top-notch.

There's a cute little train going around the ceiling, and there's a whole kids' table with chairs low to the ground and coloring options. Such a cute little place to get a treat! And nothing tops Mitchell's ice cream!

Love their ice cream. Staff is always really kind and efficient. Was super excited about the Autumn Caramel Apple, as it's my favorite seasonal they have, but the amount of nuts has easily tripled, and that's basically all it is. Their mango sorbet is SO good, always my go-to. All that is to say we are regular customers and will continue to be.
