We visited Playa Bowl in Montgomeryville today and the staff were very rude. My daughter who frequents the store asked about the portions in her bowl which appeared to be less than usual. The girl responded by saying “I can see it in there” and dismissed our concerns. She was very rude in her response to us, the customers. I would not recommend this location!

I gave been to playa bowl over 10 times and my experience today was not good. The staff today was not very welcoming. If the owners were there today when I went they sure were not friendly. I told the cashier no coconuts and they put some in, then she says you want a lid and I said well yea, it’s to go. She didn’t even put them in a bag. I always buy the Nutella one and I always buy 2. All the other times I had no problems great staff and friendly.

I'll start by saying I'm a huge fan of Playa Bowls and I've been to 5 or 6 different locations. The variety they have is un-matched by any other smoothie/bowl place out there, portions are huge, and the vibes at every location are top-notch; it's no different at this Springboro location, but I was a little disappointed by the preparation the one time I visited. The base was not properly blended, so it was kind of like an icee texture. The protein powder was just sprinkled on top, and not blended in -- I've never had that happen at any of the other locations. And they left off one of my toppings. That being said, I've had enough amazing bowls from Playa that I'm willing to write this off as a fluke. I may have gone on a bad day. I don't live around there, so I probably can't give them a second chance any time soon, but I'd still encourage anybody else to come give this place a try based on my other experiences.
